Thursday Ratings: FlashForward Goes Backward

Thanks to the World Series, FlashForward lost its forward progress last night. The ABC drama fell to a demo low when pitted against sports action.
8pm
- Game 2 of the World Series (17.1 million, 5.3/14 in 18-49) was down 2.4 million from the first outing.
- Survivor: Samoa (12.5 million, 3.7/10) lost 400,000.
- FlashForward (9 million, 2.7/8) fell by 800,000.
- Community (5.5 million, 2.1/6) picked up 300,000; Parks and Recreation (5 million, 2.1/5) remained even.
- The Vampire Diaries (2.0/5) drew in 4.3 million.

- CSI (3.4/8 in 18-49) turned in 14.9 million.
- Grey’s Anatomy (13.4 million, 5.1/12) had the best demos outside of baseball.
- The Office (8.1 million, 4.2/10) slid by 400,000; 30 Rock (6 million, 3.0/7) was off by 700,000.
- Supernatural (1.3/3) delivered 2.9 million.
10pm
- The Mentalist (14.9 million, 3.5/9 in 18-49) did better than its lead-in.
- Private Practice (9.2 million, 3.6/9) shrunk by 800,000.
- The Jay Leno Show (4.4 million, 1.6/4) shaved off 600,000.
