Thursday Ratings: ABC, CBS Split First Night of Sweeps

FOX’s ride to the top ended quickly. When originals returned to ABC and CBS, so did the numbers. Last night, the Alphabet network - with no help from The Deep End - narrowly took first in the demos. Meanwhile, CBS was easily the winner with the viewers.
8pm
- Bones (12.3 million, 3.3/10 in 18-49) did about the same.
- CBS’ Survivor Survivor special (2.4/7) had 8.3 million looking back.
- Community (2.2/7) entertained 5.2 million.
- The Deep End (5.1 million, 1.3/4) plunged by 900,000.
- Parks and Recreation (4.9 million, 2.3/6) hit a season high rating.
- The Vampire Diaries (4 million, 1.8/5) sucked in 200,000 more.

- CSI (3.2/8 in 18-49) scored 14.6 million.
- Grey’s Anatomy (12.5 million, 4.5/12) had the best demos of the night.
- Fringe (7.4 million, 2.6/7) lost 1.5 million.
- The Office (3.8/10) pulled in 7.36 million.
- 30 Rock (2.9/8) attracted 5.9 million.
- Supernatural (2.3 million, 1.1/3) slipped by 300,000.
10pm
- The Mentalist (14.7 million, 3.3/9 in 18-49) was the evening’s most-watched show.
- Private Practice (3.4/9) treated 9.3 million.
- The Jay Leno Show (3.9 million, 1.2/3) gave up 400,000.
