Thursday Ratings: 30 Rock Not Solid for NBC

30 Rock has no problems attracting guest stars and earning Emmys—so why does it continue to struggle in the ratings? Last night’s Season 4 premiere found itself down 27% in the demo from this same time last year. It also lost over 20% of The Office‘s viewers.

- Survivor: Samoa (3.5/10 in 18-49) tested 11.9 million.
- Flashpoint (3.1/9) had 9.1 million guessing.
- Bones (2.6/7) also rounded up 9.1 million.
- Community (5.1 million, 2.0/6) tied Parks and Recreation (4.7 million, 2.0/6) in the demos.
- The Vampire Diaries (1.8/5) roped in 3.9 million.

- CSI (15.1 million, 3.6/9) was the most-watched program.
- Grey’s Anatomy (13.6 million, 4.9/13 in 18-49) had the best demos of the night.
- The Office (4.0/10) attracted 8.1 million; 30 Rock (3.0/8) debuted to 6.3 million.
- Fringe (2.2/6) registered 6 million.
- Supernatural (1.2/3) pitched in 2.6 million.
10pm
- The Mentalist (3.4/9) collected 14.4 million.
- Approximately 10.4 million watched Bailey’s crossover into Private Practice (3.9/11).
- The Jay Leno Show (1.8/5) mustered up 5.2 million.
