MONDAY (2/8)
- Bank of Hollywood (E!, 8pm): “Contestants include a daredevil in a wheelchair, an aspiring soap actress and a bodybuilding grandma.” The actress’ Guiding Light severance checks eventually disqualified her from the program.
- Heroes (NBC, 9pm): “Hiro reviews his past choices and takes action to stop a catastrophe.” If he can make it as far back as Season 2, he might be able to save NBC.
- Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp (VH1, 9pm): “The Season 7 premiere introduces the new cast members: Sebastian Bach, Bobby Brown, Nicole Eggert, Kevin Federline, Shar Jackson, Jay McCarroll, KayCee Stroh and Tanisha Thomas.” At least one of these celebrities was brought in from Skid Row.
- Venom in Vegas (Animal, 8pm): “Venom expert Donald Schultz spends 10 days on the Las Vegas Strip in a glass enclosure with a multitude of deadly snakes, including pythons, rattlesnakes and cobras.” Throw in a tiger and some raw meat and you’ll have David Blaine‘s newest stunt.
- Lost (ABC, 9pm): “Jack must do something that could jeopardize the life of a friend.” No - this is not a repeat.
- Little Miss Perfect (We, 10pm): “A 5-year-old wants to impress her military mom, who’s coming home after months away, with a flashy routine.” Her musical number will conclude with an IED bang.
WEDNESDAY (2/10)
- Charlie Brown Valentine (ABC, 8pm): “Snoopy takes to his typewriter to author the perfect poem.” In the 2010 version, his computer-written haiku will have 140 characters or less.
- Man vs. Wild (Discovery, 9pm): “Following Bear’s crew in this behind-the-scenes look at the series.” How does one film Grylls giving himself an enema without busting up laughing? We’ll find out tonight.
- CSI: NY (CBS, 10pm): “A legendary racer (Antonio Sabato Jr.) dies when his car explodes on a New York street just two days before a big race.” The list of suspects includes the entire cast of My Antonio.
THURSDAY (2/11)
- The Office (NBC, 9pm): “In the wake of Sabre’s buyout of Dunder Mifflin, new CEO Jo Bennett (Kathy Bates) arrives in Scranton, awing the staffers with her charismatic Southern style.” The sledgehammer she wielded immediately captured their attention.
- Supernatural (CW, 9pm): “Lovers start killing each other on Valentine’s Day, and Sam and Dean believe Cupid is responsible, so they attempt to track him down.” It was those darn red bows that finally gave him away.
- 30 Rock (NBC, 9:30pm): “Jack’s heart thumps for a fetching CNBC host (Elizabeth Banks).” She looks like someone from one of his favorite pornos.
FRIDAY (2/12)
- Winter Olympics (NBC, 7:30pm): “The Games begin with the Opening Ceremony, telecast live from BC Place in Vancouver. The event honors the heritage of the host nation and also features the traditional parade of nations, the athletes’ oath and the lighting of the Olympic cauldron.” The US team will be lead into the stadium by Jay Leno.
- Smallville (CW, 8pm): “Clark runs into the magician Zatanna at a comic-book convention, where a magical comic book is stolen by a young man who develops special powers.” Although Clark feared the event would be rescheduled because of the Olympics, the comic book enthusiasts showed no interest in athletics.
- Spartacus: Blood and Sand (Starz, 10pm): “Spartacus disgrace at surrendering to Crixus leads Batiatus to punish him by forcing the Thracian to fight mano a mano in the ‘pits of the underworld,’ a hellish, vicious subterranean arena where anything goes.” Now that’s what I call exciting games!
SUNDAY (2/14)
- The Simpsons (FOX, 8pm): “A planned evening of ice skating and a chance encounter introduces Marge and Homer to the sport of curling, and they wind up joining a team and becoming involved in the Olympic trials.” NBC later booted the FOX infiltrators off the ice.
- Undercover Boss (CBS, 9pm): “Hooters president Coby G. Brooks goes undercover to get the inside scoop on his restaurant business.” He wants to know first-hand how the waitresses like their uniforms and how they go about putting them on.
- Tyrannosaurus Sex (Discovery, 10pm): “Examining dinosaur reproduction with the help of CGI and paleobiologists.” Spoiler alert: We now have the plot for Jurassic Park 4.
