Sunday Ratings: Weekend Win for ABC

If it hadn’t been the first official Sunday of sweeps, last night would have been considered a fairly uneventful. ABC’s lineup took the oh-so-important demos while CBS won a narrow contest with the viewers.
8pm
- The Amazing Race (10.3 million, 3.1/9 in 18-49) remained steady.
- Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (2.8/8) returned to 8.7 million.
- The Simpsons (5.9 million, 2.9/9) was down 600,000.
- Dateline (1.1/3) averaged 5.1 million over two hours.
- Sit Down, Shut Up (4.2 million, 1.9/5) lost 1 million.
- CW’s airing of Four Weddings and a Funeral (0.3/1) romanced 1.2 million.

- Desperate Housewives (13.5 million, 4.7/12 in 18-49) did about the same.
- Cold Case (2.2/5) turned in 10.5 million.
- The Celebrity Apprentice (8.1 million, 3.0/8) slipped by 200,000.
- Family Guy (6.8 million, 3.4/9) gave up 600,000.
- American Dad (5.1 million, 2.5/6) shaved off 700,000.
10pm
- Brothers & Sisters (9.4 million, 3.1/8 in 18-49) shrunk by 200,000.
- The Unit (8.9 million, 2.0/5) registered 8.9 million.
