Sunday Ratings: Eagles Sack the President

As nice as Christmas must be in the White House, the action is clearly on the gridiron. Despite cheerful numbers for Oprah’s primetime special, the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants was easily the night’s top contender.
8pm
- Approximately 17.9 million saw the Eagles beat the Giants on Sunday Night Football (7.0/17 in 18-49).
- Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (3.1/8) averaged 10.1 million over two hours.
- The Mentalist* (1.9/5) pulled in 9.5 million for CBS.
- The Simpsons (3.2/8) nabbed 7.1 million.
- The Cleveland Show (3.0/7) turned in 6.5 million.

- Family Guy (3.8/9) had 7.6 million laughing.
- American Dad (3.1/7) nailed down 6.1 million.

- Christmas at the White House: An Oprah Primetime Special (2.8/7 in 18-49) got 11.8 million feeling festive.
- Criminal Minds* (2.0/5) registered 7.8 million.
