Rod Blagojevich and Wife to Appear Together on The View
Daytime talk show The View has become the No Excuses jeans of the new millenium. You remember No Excuses jeans, right? No Excuses Sportswear spent the late 80’s and early 90’s capitalizing on infamous media stories by using the women involved in those stories to model their cheesy blue jeans. Donna Rice (disgraced Presidential Candidate Gary Hart’s “Monkey Business” lap mate) and Marla Maples (the reason for Donald and Ivana Trump’s divorce) are just a couple of the flash-in-the-pan media darlings who squeezed into a pair of No Excuses for a quick buck and some extra noteriety.

While he won’t be wearing acid-washed No Excuses mom jeans (we hope) indicted former Illinois governor of Rod Blagojevich, and his wife Patti are set to appear together on The View September 9th for an exclusive interview. This won’t be the first time the ladies on The View have had their way with Blagojevich. He appeared on the show back in January when he insisted to Barbara Walters that he didn’t try to sell President Barack Obama’s open seat and never broke any laws. The jury is still out on that one. This time around Blagojevich will promote his new book The Governor. He and his wife Patti will also get a chance to talk about Patti’s experiences on the NBC reality bomb I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.
Blagojevich isn’t the only pseudo-celebrity making headlines because of The View. Kate Gosselin of TLC’s now awkwardly-named Jon & Kate Plus 8 is set to guest co-host The View September 14-15. The reality mom will fill-in for permanent host Elisabeth Hasselbeck who is on maternity leave following the birth of her third child, a son born August 9.
Gosselin joins previously announced guest co-hosts Meghan McCain, daughter of Sen. John McCain. McCain will co-host on September 9th and 10th. La Toya Jackson pops up on the 16th and 18th and former FOX News Channel anchor E.D. Hill on the 23rd and 24th. With a line-up like that even hardcore liberals will be screaming in the streets for conservative Elisabeth to come back to The View.
The new season of The View begins Sept. 8.
