Last week, NBC‘s programming chief got a jump start on the competition by revealing his company’s calendar for next year. In addition to the fall lineup, the programming schedule through Summer 2009 was revealed.
Of all the interesting notes, I actually found it quite refreshing to hear that the network will be working to keep the 8 o’clock time slot a “family hour”. (In other words, they’ll put the most family friendly things they have - whether they really should be watched by children or not - during that portion of the evening.) After the kids are put to bed, NBC will then kick things up a notch with an hour of “blockbuster” programming then sixty minutes of adult-themed content.

Here are some of the mentionables for the upcoming season:
Sophomore Returns: Chuck, Life, and Lipstick Jungle. Knight Rider will also see life beyond its two-hour movie premiere.
New Shows: My Own Worst Enemy (starring Christian Slater), Kath & Kim, Robinson Crusoe, The Philanthropist and a spinoff of The Office.
Most Definitely Gone and Already Forgotten: Bionic Woman and Journeyman (Already announced.)
