Kim Kardashian wants to star in a sitcom. The 31-year-old socialite recently had a cameo in a live episode of comedy show 30 Rock and now hopes to take her career in a new direction. "She really wants to move beyond reality TV and be a comedy actress," a source said.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is said to be inspired by Modern Family beauty Sofia Vergara. "Kim wants to be the next Sofia Vergara," the source added to The Sun.

After her appearance on 30 Rock, Kim admitted she had had a great time on the show. "Anyone see 30 Rock tonight??? I had a blast!!!! Love this show! (sic)" she wrote on Twitter.

And her good time came in spite of the fact Mad Men star Jon Hamm - who previously branded her a "f***ing idiot" - also made an appearance. However, it is claimed the pair made their peace over the comments and even joked about their feud. Kim is said to have told a friend, "We laughed it off. [Jon was] very sweet and very respectful."
