Anna Nicole Smith Death Results Kept Secret For Now
Medical Examiner Joshua Perper, of Broward County, signed Anna Nicole Smith’s cause of death as “pending” on her official death certificate last Wednesday. Yesterday, one week after the certificate was signed, Perper announced that a cause of death has been officially determined. Smith, 39, was found unconscious and unresponsive in her Florida hotel room on February 8, 2007. Hours later, Smith was pronounced dead by medical personnel at the Memorial Regional Hospital. One month later, at least one man finally knows some of the answers to the many questions Anna’s untimely death has raised.
But he isn’t going to tell, at least not yet. In fact, it could take weeks for the cause of death of Anna Nicole Smith to be made public, according to Perper. For now, the Medical Examiner’s office is waiting until the official police investigation is over before those results are released. The Florida police are out in full force investigating the details of the case, but reports say it could still take several more weeks before anything conclusive is determined. Until then, the cause of Anna’s death will remain a mystery to the rest of us.
