Melrose Place got canceled, 90210 is still on break and Gossip Girl rumors suggest the show may be losing its biggest star. Where can the CW go from here? Straight to Hellcats.

The show revolves around college student Marti Perkins (played by Aly Michalka), who is studying pre-law at Lancer University in Memphis. Perkins finds her college dreams potentially crushed when she learns that her scholarship has been canceled and she has no way to pay for school.

Enter the mean cheerleaders, Hellcats, who immediately dislike Marti. By virtue of her gymnastics prowess, Marti manages to score a spot on the team. But will she be able to hold her position and graduate…without killing the bitchy cheerleading captain Savannah Monroe (Disney’s Ashley Tisdale)?

Further drama is provided by a love triangle featuring Dan Patch (Matt Barr), a co-ed who finds himself instantly drawn to Marti; and Robbie Jones (Lewis Flynn), a male Hellcat who is also making calf-eyes at the new girl on campus.

Hellcats debuts at 9 p.m. tonight on The CW.
