Glee Racks Up Emmy Nominations
The fans, producers and cast of Glee should be singing with joy today.
The most talked-about new show of the year has landed a staggering 19 Emmy nominations, including Best Comedy Series, Best Actor (Matthew Morrison), Best Actress (Lea Michele), Best Supporting Actress (Jane Lynch) and Best Supporting Actor (Chris Colfer).
Neil Patrick Harris also got a nod for his guest spot in the “Dream On” episode, while Kristin Chenoweth received a nomination for her guest spot in the “Rhodes Not Taken” episode. Other nods fall in the casting, writing and art direction categories.

Even with this impressive award spread, Glee isn’t the top dog on the nominations list. HBO miniseries The Pacific scored a shocking 24 Emmy nods to top all contenders. HBO scored a total of 101 nominations across the board for their programming, topping all other networks.
Jimmy Fallon will host the Emmy Awards at the Nokia Theatre on August 29. The broadcast will air on NBC.
