FOX Midseason Schedule Includes 24, American Idol Premieres

In just a few short months, the landscape on FOX will look quite a bit different. In addition to , the viewers will also see the long-awaited return of 24. (Jack Bauer has been MIA since May 2007.)

To make room for the network’s midseason additions, several programs will undergo adjustments to their current schedule. Here are a few of the programming notes:

  • American Idol (which premieres on Jan. 13) will air at 8:00 on Tuesdays/Wednesdays.
  • After a combined 4-hour debut on Jan 11 and 12th, will settle in at 9:00 on Mondays. (24: Redemption - a two-hour movie that will bridge Seasons 6 and 7 - will air on November 23.)

  • Starting Jan. 19, House will move from Tuesdays to Mondays @ 8pm.
  • will shift to Thursdays @ 8pm from Wednesdays beginning Jan. 15.
  • Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles will get a home on the dreaded Friday night schedule. On Feb. 13, the sophomore series will become a lead-in to Joss Whedon’s .
