Amy Poehler, Bryan Cranston to Host Saturday Night Live
An Emmy nominee and two recent Emmy winners will help kick off 36th season of Saturday Night Live.
It was revealed last month that Glee star Jane Lynch would host the late-night program on October 9. Now we’re learning that Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) will take the stage on October 2 while SNL alum Amy Poehler will front the show in Week 1.
Singer Katy Perry will join the Parks and Recreation actress during the September 25 broadcast.

Meanwhile, it’s being reported that short-timer Jenny Slate will be exiting the program. This news comes just weeks after Will Forte announced his departure.
The two vacancies will be filled by a slate of newcomers including Vanessa Bayer, Paul Brittain and Taran Killam. A fourth addition, Jay Pharoah, was also recently announced.
