American Idol Snubs MySpace Contestants

American Idol has opened up the Internet as a viable auditioning option for the first time ever in Season 10 - giving singers who haven’t the means, time or money to travel to one of the audition cities the chance to compete.
Here’s the rub: if they do get accepted for a callback, the MySpace singers have to fly to LA on their own dime. The show that makes millions of dollars just for using the Coca-Cola symbol every chance they get won’t even foot the bill for their own contestants.

And once the MySpace contestants make their arrangements, pay for their airfare and make the flight? Then they get the good news that they’re going to Hollywood … even though they’re already there.
