American Idol 9’s list of Top 24 contestants has already been spoiled, so the media is moving on to newer, fresher interests - like digging up every piece of dirt they can find in those contestant’s backgrounds. You might be surprised to learn that a certain quietly charming contender is much, much more than what he seems at first video clip.

Casey James, who won his ticket to Hollywood after he stripped off his shirt (Kara DioGuardi made the request) and impressed the panel with his physique as well as his vocals, is a repeat offender. He was booked for driving with an invalid license, driving while intoxicated and reckless driving, and served time in jail for his crimes. But there’s more. A little over a year later, just after his probation ended, James was again stopped for driving with an invalid license and sentenced to serve another thirty days in jail.

During his Idol interview, James spoke about surviving a terrible motorcycle accident. Now, it’s worth wondering whether or not he caused that collision himself.
