In what is now truly old news, Shenae Grimes has answered accusations that she’s just too skinny even for LA. The 90210 star has belatedly responded to claims that she has an eating disorder, a result of maintaining that severely skinny frame.

“I really can’t help what someone thinks of me because they are reading a paper and choosing to believe it,” says Grimes in a recent issue of People.

“It’s so frustrating,” she says of the rumors, which sprang up soon after the show’s success. The petite starlet adds that she doesn’t have an eating disorder, not after watching a friend face that very problem.

“Meet me in person, and you can’t say anything. No bones sticking out,” Grimes adds. You’ll have to get through her bodyguard first. “Just because people are calling you skinny doesn’t mean I’m like, ‘yay!’ No! You’re telling me I don’t look right. This is me, this is my body - I have accepted it.”

Regarding the current rumors which are flying about her (she’s a party girl and a nightmare on set), Grimes replies, “It makes me totally second guess anything I’ve ever read about anybody.”
