New Addition Named for Real Housewives of Atlanta
When we last left the ladies of Atlanta, Sheree was pretending to be a fashion designer, Kim was telling everyone she once maybe had something kind of like cancer, Lisa was threatening to put the wigged one in her place, NeNe was looking for a new home and DeShawn was being booted from the show.
Although it was rumored Tameka Foster would be the newest member of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, that is no longer the case. (Did her recent trip to Brazil somehow get in the way?) Single mother Kandi Burruss will now be joining the four other drama queens for Round 2.

Burruss, an actual singer-songwriter (I’m talking to you, Kim), was once known for her stint in Xscape, an all-girl musical group. She has since moved on to writing songs for Mariah Carey, Destiny’s Child and Alicia Keys. She’s also won a Grammy for co-writing TLC’s hit “Scrubs.”
No premiere date has yet been announced for Atlanta‘s second season.
