Monday Ratings: NBC Improves, But Not By Much

Sunday’s commercials may have paid off financially for NBC, but they didn’t help much with the ratings. Despite endless ads for Monday’s programs, the lineup only showed marginal improvement. By night’s end, CBS was on top with the viewers while FOX was first place in the demos.
8pm
- House (14.8 million, 5.5/13 in 18-49) had Monday’s best demos.
- The Bachelor (11 million, 4.1/10) wooed another 400,000.
- The Big Bang Theory (10.8 million, 4.1/10) added on 1.5 million; How I Met Your Mother (10.3 million, 4.2/10) scooped up 2.2 million.
- Chuck (8.4 million, 3.0/7) had its largest audience all season.
- Gossip Girl (2.3 million, 1.1/3) was up 700,000.

- Two and a Half Men (16.6 million, 5.5/12 in 18-49) was the night’s most watched show.
- Increased competition forced 24 (11.3 million, 3.7/8) to take an 800,000 hit.
- Worst Week (10 million, 3.1/7) improved by 2.8 million.
- Heroes (8.6 million, 4.0/9) was up 9% from the last chapter’s finale.
- One Tree Hill (2.7 million, 1.3/3) grew by 1.3 million.
10pm
- CSI: Miami (16.1 million, 4.4/11 in 18-49) had its best audience since the premiere.
- The premiere of Medium (2.9/7) returned to 8.6 million.
- True Beauty (6.8 million, 3.0/8) lost 200,000.
