George Foreman to Judge American Inventor

Posted by Wendy Michaels Categories: Prime Time, Reality, ABC,

George ForemanThe second season of American Inventor will feature Foreman grill-meister George Foreman. Oh,... what? Right, he’s also well-known for being a heavyweight champion. But I’m betting these days his claim-to-fame is those little grills. In all, four judges will oversee the competing inventions, including former talk show host and entrepreneur Pat Croce, inventor Sara Blakely and British mogul (and executive producer) Peter Jones. Jones also appeared last year on the show. American Inventor also gets a new host—Nick Smith, a television news anchor and reporter. He replaces the former host, Matt Gallant. Each week, the show travels and chooses a finalist from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Orlando and Houston. After that, a two-hour episode will have the six finalists building a prototype and being judged. The contestant pool is then narrowed down to just three. That’s where viewers come in—selecting their favorite invention which will earn the inventor $1 million and the opportunity to market their invention. The show begins June 6 at 9 p.m on ABC.
