Last Friday, number crunchers had their eyes on two events: the debut of The Ex List and the departure of Friday Night Smackdown. Unfortunately for CBS and CW, the news wasn’t good. Despite CBS’ win in both the demos and viewers, Moonlight started and ended better than Ex‘s premiere. Meanwhile, CW’s comedic lineup only did 1/2 as well as the network’s old wrestling staple.

• Ghost Whisperer (9.3 million. 2.4/6 in 18-49) rounded up 7% more than last year.
• Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? (5.8 million, 1.3/5) added on 700,000.
• Wife Swap‘s new time slot only drew in 3.8 million (1.3/5).
• America’s Toughest Jobs (3.4 million, 1.0/3) lost 1.2 million.
• Everybody Hates Chris (2.1 million, 0.8/3) and The Game (1.9 million, 0.8/3) were down over 2 million from last week’s Smackdown.

9pm

• The Ex List (6.9 million, 2.0/6 in 18-49) was off 1.7 million from Moonlight‘s 2007 premiere.
• Deal or No Deal (1.5/5) had 6.3 million playing along.
• Don’t Forget the Lyrics (1.4/4) had 4.4 million humming.
• Supernanny (4.2 million, 1.5/5) did better than its lead-in.
• An America’s Next Top Model* repeat pulled in 1.5 million (0.7/2).

10pm

• Numb3rs (8.1 million, 2.1/7 in 18-49) had 1 million less than its last opener.
• 20/20 (6.8 million, 1.9/6) was up 200,000.
• Life (5.4 million, 1.6/5) sunk 24% from its Monday showing.
