Okay - so it wasn’t exactly a win. And it really wasn’t by much. But this is the first time I can recall ever saying CW was tied for the lead in the overnight demos. (It shared the honor with ABC.) CBS, meanwhile, was yesterday’s most-watched network.

• Ghost Whisperer* (1.0/4 in 18-49) had 5.1 million spooked.
• Approximately 4.9 million laughed along with America’s Funniest Home Videos* (1.4/6).
• Most Outrageous Moments* (3.93 million, 1.1/4) was down about a 1/2 million.
• Friday Night Smackdown (3.86 million, 1.3/5) pumped up 3.86 million.
• FOX‘s airing of Hollywood Homicide (0.9/3) pulled in 3.49 million.

9pm

• The first episode of Numb3rs* (1.2/4 in 18-49) turned in 5.7 million.
• Dateline (4.3 million, 1.1/4) lost 2.3 million since last week.
• According to Jim* (3.3 million, 1.1/4) did about the same.

10pm

• The second hour of Numb3rs (6.8 million, 1.6/5) did better than its lead-in.
• 20/20 (5.5 million, 1.6/5) picked up another 500,000.
• A tribute to Tim Russert (1.2/4) attracted 5.1 million.
