Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:

Vantage Point‘s Sigourney Weaver will be taking a temporary break from the big screen for a quick stop on ABC.

The Oscar-nominated actress, who recently lent her voice to WALL·E, will offer up her professional counseling advice to a troubled Eli Stone.

This isn’t the first star scheduled for a cameo on the sophomore series this year. Katie Holmes will also be be guesting as non-profit lawyer.

Eli Stone will return on Tuesday (a new day), October 14.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Dave Foley could be making an interesting entrance this season on Brothers & Sisters.

The NewsRadio star will appear during November sweeps as a possible love interest for someone in the Walker clan. Who? EW wouldn’t say. But based on the candidates, I’m gonna take a wild guess and say Saul. (Nora and Holly just seem too obvious for me.)

Foley most recently appeared on one episode of In Plain Sight.

A daytime soap vet will soon be pulling double-duty when she takes a short-term primetime gig.

Emmy-award winning Heather Tom will temporarily step away from her campy world on The Bold and the Beautiful to join the campy world of Ugly Betty.

Tom will appear in at least three episodes as a State Department liaison. She’ll be working closely with Daniel and his newly discovered son.

Will she be the one who helps Meade get over Gabrielle Union? Probably not. But I’m sure he would love her to try.
