Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:
Chuck: If you’ve been desperately waiting for another Charlie sighting on Lost, this might be your next best alternative. On February 2nd, Dominic Monaghan will appear on Chuck as a…British rock star. Like any other person who happens to visit the Buy More, Dominic’s character will somehow become involved in one of Bartowski’s missions. The episode, which will air partly in 3-D, comes one day after the Super Bowl on NBC.

The New Adventures of Old Christine: Emmy award-winning Julia Louis-Dreyfus will soon have an Oscar-nominated actress to call her mum. Later this fall, Atonement‘s Brenda Blethyn will guest on the comedy as Christine’s mother. That appearance is scheduled for either November or December.
How I Met Your Mother: Now that Ted and Stella are over, it’s time to move on to Mosby’s next possible love interest. Sometime later this season, actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler will appear as a former party girl friend of Lily’s. Could the dark-haired Sopranos star be the future mom of Ted’s dark-haired children? Well, considering she’s only going to be around for one episode - probably not.
Heroes: Zeljko Ivanek has managed to keep himself quite busy despite offing himself on Damages. The Emmy award-winning actor, who recently lined up a gig on House, has now signed on for a multi-episode appearance on Heroes. According to E! Online, Ivanek will first surface during Volume Four: Fugitives. Little is known about his character other than his name: the Hunter. You can start making guesses about his role now.
One Tree Hill: After making an appearance on a classic How I Met Your Mother, James Van der Beek will now be taking a trip back to North Carolina. The former Dawson’s Creek star can next be seen on the November 24th episode of the CW drama. James - who will play a filmmaker interested in one of Lucas’ novels - is scheduled for only one episode.
Brothers & Sisters: Although he flirted last year with Milo Peterman (actor Michael Nouri), it looks like Uncle Saul will finally be getting a new love interest. According to Entertainment Weekly, actor John Glover will be the one who helps Ron Rifkin get more camera time this season. Glover, who is best known to Smallville fans as Lionel Luthor, is currently scheduled for three episodes.
Brothers & Sisters: Now for even more Walker news. Although it was earlier believed that Jason Ritter would be coming on board to play the mysterious Ryan Lafferty, it’s now being reported that Luke Grimes (Assassination of a High School President) has nabbed the role. Grimes will supposedly make his first appearance in Episode 14.
