Description
ABC is in a frenzy of moving popular shows around, eliminating the clunkers, and adding new series in hopes of raising the network’s ratings. It may not work, but it will certainly be exciting.

You may want to take notes.

Unscripted series will get their due, with four special episodes of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition devoted to the aftermath of the devastation in the Gulf Coast region settling in at 8 p.m. Thursday beginning March 23.

Extreme will step in for Dancing With the Stars, which also will be replaced by another reality show at 9 p.m., new entry American Inventor from Simon Cowell. Inventor will start March 16 with a two-hour episode starting at 8 p.m.

Two more unscripted series will come in Mondays beginning March 6. Returning series Supernanny moves in at 9 p.m., replacing ABC’s struggling comedy block, and the new series Miracle Workers will replace The Bachelor at the conclusion of its run at 10 p.m.

Miracle will air in the slot for four weeks, vacating April 3 to make room for the new drama What About Brian. Brian will get a sneak peek in the coveted 10 p.m. slot following Desperate Housewives on April 2.

Grey’s Anatomy will stay put in that time slot otherwise, countering speculation that ABC would move the hot drama to another slot.

On Wednesday, the drama Invasion will sit out for six weeks beginning March 22 to make room for new drama The Evidence, which will find itself in a potentially cozy slot following the hit Lost.
