Dropping Dimes On The Daily is all about the team looking at the previous night’s performances and mentioning those that did pretty goodly and those that did pretty badly. Goodly is a word, right? Anyway, this will be a quick look around the league, so don’t expect a ton of text, just some daily fantasy basketball goodness!!!
The Fig Cap: OK, We Give Up!

One crazy game filled with big lines, a few huge rebounding totals, and some surprise dime machines headline today’s DDOTD. How could we expect anything less than that on a nearly full slate of games on Wednesday? That, folks, is why Thursday’s editions are always the best.
The Fig Cap: This obviously wasn’t Wednesday night. Keep reading.

Wire to Wire - 12.05.07

Hey all. Sorry for no Daily Drop today. By now you all should know that Amare Stoudemire had an amazing night, Kevin Martin will miss four-to-six weeks, and LeBron James’ finger may be worse than we had originally assumed. With that said…here’s this week’s edition of Wire to Wire. More Daily drops as the week rolls on!
Wire to Wire aims to be your waiver wire resource for all of your fantasy basketball needs. It will dive into playing time trends, injury replacements, and even an occasional category specialist—all of which can be found on a typical waiver wire within your fantasy league at any given time.

Dropping Dimes on the Daily – December 4, 2007

Cause I totally blew it with not getting up a Daily yesterday, I’m going extra big with tonight’s version. Please accept this humble offering with my sincere apologies and a pledge to do better next time. I suddenly feel like Tony Kornheiser. Um, yeah.
Anyway, a new name in fantasyland you’ll read about after the jump is this dude on the right, Jared Dudley. He now starts for Charlotte. He’s fun to watch. More importantly, his StatTracker line lighting up is fun to watch as well. Yeah, I know, but that’s what gets me excited these days.
The Fig Cap: I don’t have to wear warm-ups at the tip anymore!

Dropping Dimes Expert League Update
Posted by Scott Sargent Categories: Editorial, News, Site Announcements,
Just to keep all of you readers updated with the happenings of the Dropping Dimes crew, I thought it would be best to give you a well-timed update on the DroppingDimes Expert League.
With much attribution to Baron Davis, Manu Ginobili, Marcus Camby and Mo Williams, I was able to gain a few games and knot things up with Dr. A over at Rotoworld. He has a sick team, so I don’t expect to stay with him the entire time, but it was nice to gain ground on a week that didn’t feature any really huge games from Kevin Garnett.
Honorable mention goes to Jamario Moon who put up 31 points, 30 boards, four steals and five blocks on the week. Well done, sir.

Just Because: Minute Distribution
Posted by Scott Sargent Categories: Editorial, Northwest Division, Seattle Supersonics,
Nothing too huge to mention here, but I thought it was interesting to see the minutes that the Sonics have been giving Wally Szczerbiak as of late. Check out the box scores from the last several games.
It seems that Wally World is only safe starting every other game. What should be noted is that the Sonics have only won one of the past seven games - one of them that Szczerbiak received sub-20 minutes. He’s likely on the waiver wire in most leagues, so keep an eye on this development. That is, if anything even develops.
Dropping Dimes Staff Rankings: Week 6

Welcome to Week 6’s edition of the DD staff rankings, where we rank 20 guys deep at each position according to their weekly schedule, recent performance, and, uhh… lots of guessing.
Anyways, a couple teams play 2 games in Week 6, so be sure you consider that before playing any Spurs, Pacers, or Magic you have. Here’s the slate of games played:
The Fig Cap: “Hey Mamba, who do you think is ranked higher this week at DD?”

Not too many games to choose from last night, but plenty of fantasy production went down - mostly before a National audience on TNT. Let’s stay strong and finish up the last weekday of the month…

Just Because: Mr. Perfect!
Posted by Scott Sargent Categories: Editorial, Props, Talent, Milwaukee Bucks,
While the Milwaukee Bucks dropped last night’s game to the Hawks - and you’ll do that when you only make 43 percent of your shots - I felt that one player needed to be recognized for his efforts: Mo Williams.
Unless the box score is playing games with my mind, Williams was a perfect 9-of-9 from the floor last night, sinking his only three-point attempt en route to 23 points. He was also a flawless 4-of-4 from the line. While he did also add nine assists, the shooting display for a point guard with a career percentage of just over 43 percent himself needed to some recognition.
I haven’t seen this talked about anywhere - including the AP report and even Rotoworld. Mo, your owners thank you.

On a night that pretty much lacked spectacular lines, there were a few that still stood out. No triple-doubles today folks. LeBron James got hurt. That’s why.
So did Chris Bosh, who deserves a mention, as he has been heating up nicely of late. Still, there was a surprise scorer, dime-disher, and more than a few rebounders, on a heavy slate of Wednesday NBA action.
The Fig Cap: You know, this has nothing to do with today’s DDOTD. Except that when I Googled LeBron, this is what I got.
