Linas Kleiza Shoots a Jumper
The New Jersey Nets simply can’t buy a win. Even against a Denver Nuggets team without Carmelo Anthony.

Last night they fell to the Denver Nuggets 100-85, giving them an 8 game losing streak. On the other end of the spectrum, the Nuggets now have a 2 game winning streak, and a 1.5 game lead in the Northwest Division. Despite the ugly 18-25 record, the Nets are still in 3rd place in the Atlantic Division, but 17 games back from the dominant Boston Celtics.

Allen Iverson led the way for the Nuggets with 30 points, 5 assists and 3 steals. Forward Linas Kleiza had 23 points, and former Net Kenyon Martin scored 20 with 7 rebounds.

“We need wins and we need them badly,” Nets sophomore Josh Boone said. “It would help if we got off to better starts and played better defense.”
