EndScore Report: In Your Face Wilpon and Russell Westbrook Naysayers
Posted by Dennis Velasco Categories: Athletes, Editorial, Front Office, MLB, NBA, Trades,
This week's "In Your Face" brings back idiotic New York Mets owner Fred Wilpon into the spotlight for his not understanding the concept of ownership and supporting the team you own. We also call out all of the Russell Westbrook haters that want the Oklahoma City Thunder to trade their 22-year-old, vastly improving, and dominating-type of point guard because of an assumption that he cannot co-exist with Kevin Durant. Ridiculous. LISTEN up!

EndScore Report: In Your Face Jorge Posada and David Kahn
Posted by Dennis Velasco Categories: Editorial, Front Office, NBA, News,
This week, we give an "In Your Face" to the New York Yankees' Jorge Posada for being unprofessional and whining. Also on the docket is the Minnesota Timberwolves' David Kahn for insinuating that the NBA fixes the NBA Draft Lottery for the big story. Maybe it's true, but what a wrong way to bring it up! Give this edition of "In Your Face" a LISTEN, why don't ya?

Cleveland Cavaliers Win the NBA Draft Lottery
Posted by Dennis Velasco Categories: Drafts, NBA, News,
After getting done dirty by LeBron James last offseason and winning only 19 games in the Post-Bron Era, the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the odds and won the NBA Draft Lottery and, if you believe the multitude of mock drafts out there, the rights to point guard Kyrie Irving. Oddly enough, the Cavaliers, coming in with the second-best chance to win (19.9%) with their own pick, actually won with the Los Angeles Clippers (2.8%) draft pick. The Cavs acquired this pick with the trade of Mo Williams to the Los Angeles Clippers for Baron Davis. This immediately brings up two questions - why didn't the Clippers protect the pick and why didn't the Clippers protect the pick?

EndScore Report: In Your Face Lakers and LeBron Haters
Posted by Dennis Velasco Categories: Athletes, Editorial, NBA,
This week's "In Your Face" features the Los Angeles Lakers and their somewhat startling and totally unexpected sweep to the Dallas Mavericks. Chris gives them the business! DV, a noted LeBron James hater for the way he did Cleveland dirty, calls out all the other LeBron haters for them not understanding his relief and happiness of finally getting by the Boston Celtics. Sure there was some massive histrionic-type behavior, but DV found it in his heart to forgive. Of course, the Chicago Bulls didn't in game one of the Eastern Conference Finals, which the Bulls won. In any case, give this week's "In Your Face" a LISTEN!

EndScore Report: What Happens Now for the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers?
Posted by Dennis Velasco Categories: Athletes, Editorial, NBA, News,
In this edition of EndScore Report, DV and Chris look at what the two storied NBA franchises, the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers, could possibly do now that both are out of the NBA Playoffs. The Celtics lost to LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and the rest of the Miami Heat, while the Lakers got swept by the Dallas Mavericks. In the case of the Lakers, would they trade two high-impact players to the Orlando Magic for Dwight Howard and an albatross contract such as Gilbert Arenas or Hedo Turkoglu's? A lot of it could depend on the head coach selection. Is there still another run for the Big Three of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen? We break down our thoughts HERE!

EndScore Report: In Your Face Ron Artest and Rashard Mendenhall
Posted by Dennis Velasco Categories: Athletes, Editorial, NBA, News, NFL,
For this week's "In Your Face," DV and Chris call out Los Angeles Lakers forward and enigma, Ron Artest, for getting suspended a game during a time where everybody is needed to overcome a daunting 0-2 (now 0-3) deficit. Also, we shake our heads at Pittsburgh Steelers running back and notorious tweeter, Rashard Mendenhall, for a questionable use of Twitter. Really, Rashard? Think it's time to delete the account! Meanwhile, over in the West, the Dallas Mavericks have taken an almost insurmountable lead, 3-0 (2-0 at time of recording), over the Los Angeles Lakers and the Oklahoma City Thunder and Memphis Grizzlies are all notched up at one game apiece. EndScore Report: NBA Playoffs First Round Review
Posted by Dennis Velasco Categories: NBA, News, Playoffs,
In this edition of EndScore Report, DV and Chris look at what's been going on in the NBA Playoffs thus far. After the recording, the Memphis Grizzlies surprisingly eliminated the top-seeded San Antonio Spurs to complete the series during the first round. By the way, DV and Chris were wrong in their selection of the Spurs to win, but, so were many others. In any case, the Grizz will face the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Other teams moving on from the first round to the Conference Semi-finals include the Dallas Mavericks who will match up against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Chicago Bulls and the Atlanta Hawks go head-to-head, and probably the most intriguing pairing, the Boston Celtics against the Miami Heat. The boys look over their picks (clicky-click here) and will come back at you with their predictions for the second round of the NBA Playoffs in another episode coming soon!

Don’t Believe the New York Knicks and ‘Melo Hype, It’s a Sequel!
Posted by Dennis Velasco Categories: Athletes, Editorial, NBA, News,
This must be a tough pill going down the throats of the New York Knicks and their fans as the team became victims of a Boston Celtics sweep, becoming the 2011 NBA Playoffs first victims. In the first two games (87-85 and 96-93 Celtics victories), the Knicks could have easily been the victors in both. However, in the end, it was the Celtics' championship pedigree and experience that helped them pull away and score just enough points to win. Emotionally, it had to be debilitating to come so close, but come up with the loss despite valiant efforts on the road.
