Most New York Giant fans seem to be pleased with this free agent signing, especially in terms of price and Sam Madison’s resume of being a four-time Pro Bowl player. The smart fans of Big Blue Interactive were all over this topic, and fans hope Madison can return to his Pro Bowl form. The terms of the deal were four-year contract worth 7.4 million. While playing with the Miami Dolphins, Madison and ex-teammate Patrick Surtain formed as one of the premier secondaries in the league in recent years.

It was great for me to see Ken Griffey Jr. back in the groove, launching home runs versus the South African team. Griffey has reeled off six straight hits in his last six at-bats. The pool now for Team USA will be facing off against Japan, Korea and Mexico. Baseball in Japan is much improved since the days of Mr. Baseball (starring a washed up Tom Selleck.) Japan’s “Evil Empire” has Seattle Mariner superstar Ichiro Suzuki and is managed by Sadaharu Oh, who owns the all-time pro baseball record with 868 home runs.
Paul Pierce Playing Like an Elite Player
Posted by Jeff Chan Categories: Athletes, Fantasy, Kudos, NBA,
This past week has been great for all fantasy owners of Paul Pierce, and it has also translated into wins for the Boston Celtics as well. Not only has Pierce been putting up monster numbers, but also delivering in the clutch. This past week Pierce has been dueling with Gilbert “I’ll make the Eastern Conference pay!” Arenas, Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson and Lebron James all to exciting finishes at the end of the game. Pierce has set a Boston Celtic record by averaging 33.5 points per game in February, the most in Boston Celtic history for a given month. Yes, even more than the great Larry Bird. This is an amazing turn around for Pierce, who was being discussed during the trade deadline. Even the Clippers at one time this season were rumored to be linked to Pierce, but I guess now we’ll never know.

Colorado Avalanche Acquire Jose Theodore in a Trade with the Montreal Canadians
Posted by Jeff Chan Categories: Athletes, Front Office, NHL, Trades,
The deal was straight up, goalie for goalie, with the Montreal Canadians picking up David Aebischer. To the casual hockey fan, Jose Theodore is more of the big name player, as he won the Hart Memorial Trophy as the league’s most valuable player in 2001-02. During that season he led the league with a .931 save percentage, but many believe he hasn’t been the same player he used to be. The hockey fans on espn.com seem to be split on the decision on who at this point is the better player, with the vote being 53%-47% in favor of Theodore. Here is one analysts who thinks the Avs got the short end of the stick, and Theodore won’t rejuvenate his career making the switch from the Canadians to the Avalanche as Patrick Roy did.

As if Bonds dressing up as Paula Abdoul wasn’t frightening in and of itself, SI is reporting that Barry Bonds has definitely used steroids, and now his legacy is in jeopardy. Currently people are mentioning him in the same breath as Pete Rose, in terms of also banning him for the Hall of Fame. Well, if the people who cast a vote as serious about this issue, they better make sure they exclude all the other sluggers out of the HOF and not just single out Barry Bonds. That means Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, Rafael Palmeiro, Jason Giambi, or whomever you have a doubt about whether they cheated or not. In some aspects, fans and media drove players to cheat, with the glorification of the home run. Do you remember that TV commercial: Chicks dig the long-ball? The constant media watch on the single season home run record, the escalating salaries for the premiere sluggers have been contributing factors to the increasing steroid problem.
The Darko Milicic watch doesn’t stop. Here at EndScore we are just like 1010 WINS AM news, “You give us 22 minutes, we’ll give you the world.” Well, this must be the mindset of Darko these days, coach just give me 22 minutes of playing time, I’ll show the world I’m not a bust. The Serbian gangster has a lot to prove going ahead of D. Wade, Carmelo, and Chris Bosh. The memories I have of Darko Milicic is during his rookie year playing for Detroit, the time when he was sporting the blond hair. I was with a buddy of mine right behind the Pistons bench, as they were playing the New Jersey Nets at the Meadowlands. At the time it was a close game, and during a time out, coach Larry Brown was apparently yelling at either Rasheed Wallace or Chauncey Billups for I guess not going over a screen in a pick-and-roll, or shooting with 5 seconds left on the shotclock instead of 4 seconds, with Brown almost about to have a stroke. Instead of listening to Brown’s instructions for a diagrammed play (or his incessant yelling, I can’t remember), Darko was just checking out the Nets dancing girls, totally lost in their aura. Well, Darko is going to prove all the critics wrong (hopefully.) So far in six games with the Orlando Magic, Darko is almost getting his 22 minutes, he is playing 20 minutes, grabbing 6 rebounds and 2 blocks a game. You go boy, that’s the Serbian gangster we’ve come to love. Darko’s getting love from the Utah Jazz press as well, check it out. I was shocked to read his quotes I didn’t realze Darko can talk either, I’ve never heard the guy speak before.

While playing the Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets center Yao Ming picked up two offensive foul charging calls while being defended by Reggie Evans. Jeff Van Gundy sees Evans’ defense more as flopping rather than Yao dipping the shoulder into Evans. Jeff Van Gundy is about to give Evans the Oscar award for best acting, here is what he said:
“I am so sick of watching that guy flop I can’t stand it. It is an absolute disgrace what he does,” Van Gundy said. “Those two fouls he supposedly drew on Yao [Ming] the other night were a joke—jumping into the front row. The NBA’s got to do something about it.” - Houston Chronicle
Reggie Evans you have just been served by a short Jewish coach who is most known for humping Alonzo Mourning’s leg.

It is a sad day in the baseball world as reports have confirmed Kirby Puckett passed away yesterday after suffering a stroke. Puckett was in his Phoenix, Arizona home when the stroke occurred. Kirby had seemed to lose control of his health after his playing days, particularly with weight gain. Puckett, who was divorced, is survived by two children and his fiance. He will forever be remembered as the hero of Game 6 in the 1991 World Series against the Atlanta Braves as a member of the Minnesota Twins. The Hall of Famer, won two world championships playing for the Twins, the other title coming in 1987 versus the St. Louis Cardinals.
Shaun Alexander Re-signs with the Seattle Seahawks
Posted by Jeff Chan Categories: Athletes, Front Office, NFL,
The Seattle Seahawks were able to do what the Indianapolis Colts were not able to do, re-signing their star running back to a multi year deal. The reigning MVP has been rewarded with a eight year, $62 million extension, with $15.1 million guaranteed. Seattle’s focus will now be on WR Joe Jurevicius, who is a free agent as well. Edgerrin James’ most attractive potential suitor seems to be the Minnesota Vikings.
Not only did they get busted for parking in an illegal spot, but they skipped out on their court date as well. If these guys miss their next rescheduled court date, they might be charged with contempt by Judge Springman. Wow guys, I think you guys in the Eagles locker room have been watching too much Judge Dredd, because you fellas must think about one of it’s famous lines: “I never broke the law. I am the law!” Maybe McNabb thinks he is handicapped considering he gets injured all the time. Terrell Owens is no longer the only Eagles player acting crazy and now the team can probably pitch for a reality TV show, Eagles Behaving Badly.
