Red Sox Are One Game Away From Being World Series Champions

Matsuzaka Stroking a 2 Run Single
After having one of the most dominant postseasons in Major League history up until the World Series, the Colorado Rockies find themselves in a new position: Down 3 games, struggling to survive. Last night the Boston Red Sox put another beating on the Rockies, winning 10-5. Dice K Matsuzaka not only went 5.1 innings strong, but contributed with a clutch 2 run single in the 3rd inning, to blow the lead wide open and knock out befuddled Colorado journeyman starter Josh Fogg. Jacoby Ellsbury continued his bid to keep Coco Crisp on the bench, with 4 hits and 2 RBI’s. The Rockies last hope will rest on Aaron Cook’s shoulders, who will do battle with Jon Lester tonight in the possibly final game of the World Series.

By far and large, the Boston Red Sox are a better team than any other that the Rockies have had to face. There are no weak spots in the lineup, every face in the batting order is a threat. The Rockies don’t appear to be intimidated, but they have a tremendous task ahead of them.

“After 21 of 22, four games doesn’t seem like a whole lot.” Brian Fuentes said.

Easier said than done.
