Hornets Trade For Bonzi Wells, Mike James
On the day of the NBA trading deadline, the New Orleans Hornets have traded for Bonzi Wells and Mike James, dealing away Bobby Jackson and Adam Haluska to the Houston Rockets.
This season Wells averaged 9.2 points per game coming off of the bench, with 5.1 rebounds per game. Mike James has struggle mightily this season, the point guard’s averaged 6.5 points per game, and a mere 1.6 assists per game. Bobby Jackson, who will turn 35 in March, is a stellar player coming off the bench, scoring 7.1 points per game. In his last game with the Hornets Bobby scored 17 points in 27 minutes of court time.
This is the 2nd trade of the day, after Brent Barry, Francisco Elson, and a 2009 first round draft pick were dealt to the Seattle SuperSonics for Kurt Thomas of the San Antonio Spurs. Trades may still be announced after the 3:00 PM deadline, it should be interesting to see what players get a change of scenary.
