Eli Manning
The New York giants won the Superbowl over the New England Patriots, by a score of 17-14. This victory for the Giants ends the Patriot’s perfect season. Late in the 4th quarter the Patriots’ Daunte Stallworth dropped a pass from Giants’ Eli Manning, an interception which would have likely dashed the Giants’ Superbowl hopes. Shortly thereafter Tom Brady found Plaxico Burress in the end zone to complete a touchdown making the game 16-14.

Overall Tom Brady threw for 11 more yards than Eli Manning, completing 266 compared to 255. However in the defining moment in young Manning’s career, Eli threw for 2 touchdowns, 1 more than Tom Brady. Manning completed 19 passes out of an attempted 34 against the Patriots defense, which paled in comparison to that of the Giants’. Tom Brady was sacked tonight 5 times, and James Butler completed 10 tackles.
