Portland Trail Blazers guard Sebastian Telfair Suspended by the League

Ha Seung-JinYou’re telling me this isn’t some sort of gang symbol?  Please, I wasn’t born yesterday, keep your eyes out for this guy.

Telfair will serve a two game suspension for violating the leagues firearms policy.  The league prohibits players from carrying a firearm while traveling on team or league business.  (I can’t believe there has to be a rule like this by the way, it’s called common sense.) Telfair admitted to mistakenly taking his girlfriends bag which had a loaded gun inside last week in Boston.  Unfortunately the team was not headed to Philadelphia, this way Telfair could have claimed he brought the gun in exchange for 76er’s tickets.

With Portland trading Ruben Patterson, Telfair and Zach Randolph are the last of the “Jail Blazers” - but management seems to ready to build the team around these guys.  The next Portland player I predict to be the next cool thug is back-up center Ha Seung-Jin.  Too bad they couldn’t swing a deal for Darko Milicic, because Rasheed Wallace has been quoted saying: “I’m telling you, Darko is a Serbian gangster.”  Straight up, fool.

Telfair, who is Stephon Marbury’s cousin, has some other bone-headed relatives;  Hassan Gonsalves and Tasheem Ward were involved in the Isiah Thomas sexual harassment scandal, where Gonslaves and Ward were hired and later had to be fired by MSG even though they were “completely unqualified”.
