Apple iPhone 5c unboxing gallery

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Cell Phones, Features, Galleries,

We're putting the finishing touches on our iPhone 5c review, and in the meantime, we've put together a large gallery of images showcasing Apple's new lower-cost smartphone. The iPhone 5c is everything you liked about the iPhone 5, but ditches the aluminum enclosure for a more colorful plastic outer shell. The device is available in five colors (white, green, blue, pink, and yellow,) and has a slightly improved battery, and an improved FaceTime camera on the front, but other than that, it's an iPhone 5 through-and-through, but $100 cheaper than it used to be. Head on over to our iPhone 5c unboxing gallery to check out the device in some up-close-and-personal images.
You can pick up the iPhone 5c starting at $99 now from the Apple Store.

Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse Jean Bugatti Edition: $3 million carbon fiber luxury

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Design, Transportation,
Talk about a limited run. The Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse Jean Bugatti Edition will sport just three models. Of course, Bugatti is known for exclusivity, and this one will cost a cool $3 million. The Type 57SC sports a carbon fiber frame, 1,200 horsepower (no, not a typo,) platinum grill surround and badges, rosewood shift knob, twin five-spoke wheels, and a silhouette of the 57SC within the door inserts.

Apple updates iMac line with Intel Haswell processor, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and more

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, PC / Laptop,
Today apple released an updated version of it's iMac desktop computer, bringing powerful new features like Intel's Haswell chipset and 801.11ac Wi-Fi into the mix. The 21.5-inch model ships with a 2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor and includes the new Iris Pro integrated graphics chip. If you bump up to the higher-end 21.5-incher, or opt for the entry level 27-inch iMac, you get a quad-core 3.4GHz processor, and the dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 700 graphics card, which packs in 2x the video RAM and performs 40% faster than the last-generation model. The top-of-the-line iMac boasts a 3.5GHz quad-core Core i7 processor with GeForce GTX 780M graphics with up to 4GB of video RAM. Not bad at all.
As already stated, all the new iMacs ship with 802.11ac graphics, which will pair up nicely with the recent update to the Apple AirPort Extreme and AirPort Time Capsule base stations. The new iMac comes with 8GB RAM as standard with a 1TB hard drive. You can configure both, adding up to 32GB RAM, and a 3TB Fusion Drive or a dedicated SSD. Two Thunderbolt ports and four USB 3.0 connections round things out.
You can pick up the new iMac now from the Apple Store online.

Silver and gold iPhone 5s to be severely constrained at launch

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Smartphones, Handhelds,
The iPhone 5s goes on sale tomorrow, and if you're hoping to pick up a gold or silver model on launch day, you may wanna wake up early and get in line at your nearest Apple Store location. According to 9to5Mac, both the silver and gold iPhone 5s models will be severely constrained at launch, with carrier partners sharing that they will likely only have the Space Gray iPhone 5s for sale. This means that if you are hoping to pick up a gold or silver iPhone 5s, your best bet is to head to an Apple Store, and get there well before the 8:00am opening. If you head to somewhere like Walmart, Target, AT&T, Verizon, Spring, T-Mobile, and others, Space Gray may end up being your only option.
Of course, if you don't have to have your iPhone 5s on day one, you can simply order the color of your choosing from the Apple Store Online beginning tonight at midnight.

Ever since Apple introduced the new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c last week, we've been gettign questions from readers asking if Apple killed the iPod classic. Of course, a quick glimpse at the Apple Store Online confirms that the classic lives on for another year. The iPod classic offers 160GB of storage for those who have huge music libraries and want to carry it all with them. Our guess is that until the iPod touch offers 128GB of storage, we will see the iPod classic continue to be sold. You can pick up the iPod classic for $249 in black and silver.

Bleeding Edge TV 490: Fiesta Movement Forza Motorsport 5 behind-the-scenes

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Features, Podcasts, Transportation, Video Games, Videocasts, Videos,
Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes at your favorite video game companies? For my August Ford #FiestaMovement Gaming mission, I visited Turn 10 Studios, maker of the Forza Motorspot racing games to get a look. I starred in a behind-the-scenes documentary that focuses on Turn 10 and the upcoming release of Forza Motorsport 5 for Xbox One, and in my mission video, I give you a look at that whole process.
You'll see me on set, cameras and microphones in my face. You'll see me in makeup, getting my head powdered. You'll also see me race again the best Forza Motorsport player at Turn 10 in a moving chair with 3 HD displays in front of me. Intense, right?
I also talk with Dan Greenwalt, the main man at Turn 10, about what makes a great Forza player, and I take Gabriel Garcia, the man in charge of building the in-game vehicles and making them look amazing, on a joy ride in the 2014 Ford Fiesta ST.

Reeder 2 RSS reader now available for iPhone and iPad

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: News, App Updates, New Apps, $4.99,
We loved Reeder for iOS and Mac, and the thoughtful RSS reading app was fantastic, right up until Google pulled the plug on Google Reader, a service that was essential to the usability of Reeder--at least on the Mac and iPad. Now, developer Silvio Rizzi is back with his second act: Reeder 2. Unlike the first version, Reeder 2 is a universal binary, which means that for the price of the app, you get both the iPhone and iPad versions included. The design language of Reeder 2 is updated to match the look and feel of iOS 7, and gone is the requirement and reliance on Google Reader. In its place, Reeder 2 now allows you to pull and sync data from Feedbin, Feedly, Feed Wrangler, Fever, and can even act as your RSS storage app in and of itself.
You can pick up Reeder 2 now for $4.99.
