Okay, if you don't know, I used to be a pro wrestler. That's right, I'd put my tights on every week, step through the curtain, and enter a 20 x 20 wrestling ring to entertain a crowd of people, and I loved it. That was a long time ago, and now I bring you the hottest news in the consumer electronics world, as you know.
However, now that I am a Ford #FiestaMovement agent, you should expect to see something a bit more unique here on my channel each month. I'll be doing some pretty unique missions as part of the Fiesta Movement, using the Fiesta ST that was given to me for the duration of the Movement to bring you some cool stuff. This month? I'm bringing you into the world of professional wrestling as part of the June #Fitness theme.
Why pro wrestling? Well, I didn't want another agent to grab this mission and turn it into a comedy act! I saw this as an opportunity to educate the masses about this truly unique artform. I head to the Buddy Wayne pro wrestling training facility to chat about what it takes to become a professional wrestler. Buddy should know. After all, at just 5' 6", he has made a career in the land of the giants, having wrestling for both WWE (formerly WWF or the World Wrestling Federation) and WCW (World Championship Wrestling.) In wrestling, you only look as good as your opponent allows you to look, and Buddy was able to make his opponents look great for 12 years.

Unboxing Live 119: HTC First & Facebook Home

In this episode we open up the HTC First smartphone, the first phone to ship with Facebook Home as the default launcher. Facebook Home turns your phone into a device that is hyper connected to Facebook, including lock screen slideshows of recent updates from your friends, and direct access to Facebook and Facebook Messenger from the lock screen as well. The HTC First reminds us of a flatter iPhone 3GS, or to be more current, looks a lot like the leaks of the upcoming budget-friendly iPhone. It originally debuted at $99 with 2-year contract, but now sells for $0.99 instead after lukewarm reception.

OS X 10.9 Mavericks Developer Preview 5 now available, includes iBooks app

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, PC / Laptop, Software,
Yesterday Apple released OS X Mavericks Developer Preview 5, build 13A538g, just 8 days after the release of Developer Preview 4. Developers who are already running Mavericks can get the 1.08GB update through the Mac App Store, while those who are looking to install it for the first time will need to log in to the Apple Developer Portal. This build doesn't seem to bring too many obvious changes, other than the expected performance improvements and bug fixes, with the exception of the inclusion of the new iBooks Mac app. iBooks lets you read the books you've purchased from the iBookstore on your Mac, just as you can on your iOS devices. As for the rest of the world, OS X Mavericks is set to launch this fall, bringing features like iBooks, Maps, Finder Tags, enhanced multi-monitor support, tabbed Finder, and more to Apple's desktop operating system.

Nintendo has finally announced that it will be releasing an all black Nintendo 3DS XL. The black version will hit stores on August 11th, which just so happens to be the same day that Mario & Luigi: Dream Team drops as well. If you've been holding out for black because you were too grown-up to rock the blue, red, pink, Pokemon, or Animal Crossing variants, you'll have your wish in about two weeks--and you can pre-order the black Nintendo 3DS XL now.
If you're looking for a luxury EV and want a more established name than Tesla, BMW has entered the fray with the i3. In fact, the BMW i3 is both the first EV from the company, as well as a platform to build on for the future. The i3 will be priced at $41,350 when it goes on sale in the US in Q2 2013, although, like many electric vehicles, it isn't for everyone.
While it isn't the most expensive EV on the market, it also costs well above what the typical car buyer pays for a new vehicle. Also, range anxiety will be a problem for some as well, as a fully-charged BMW i3 will only get you 80-100 miles. If that worries you, you can opt for the 650cc two-cylinder generator add-on, that makes the i3 similar to a Chevy Volt, letting you get extra range through using gasoline. At 170 horsepower coupled with 184 pound-feet of torque, you'll be able to go from zero to sixty in seven seconds.
BMW definitely knows how to make a car, and for EV enthusiasts who've grown weary of the odd space-age concepts found in some other car manufacturer lines, could be a breath of clean, fresh, environmentally-safe air.

Verizon announces a trio of Droid smartphones: Ultra, Maxx, and Mini

Verizon, in partnership with Motorola, has revealed the new line of Droid smartphones: Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and Droid Mini.
Both the Ultra and the Maxx have 720p displays on 5-inch non-PenTile displays. The only visibly distinct difference between the ULTRA and the MAXX is that the latter is a bit thicker due the bigger battery, hence the name. The Droid Maxx boasts an insane 48 hours of battery life. Remarkably, the Ultra is razor thin--as thin as the original famed RAZR flip phone. Meanwhile, the Droid Mini features a 720p 4.3-inch display with comparable features for smartphones of that size. All are using this techy kevlar designed back plate. The Droid Ultra will cost $199, Droid MAXX $299, and the Droid Mini will be $99, all with two-year contracts with Big Red. Here's a full list of them for all you spec lovers.
