Skype 3.0 Beta for Windows Mobile is now available. You can download it on your phone or PC and transfer it later to your Windows Mobile Professional or Standard phone version 5, 6 or 6.1. After download, you can call, IM and send files with its new user interface. Compatible with Pocket PC, Classic or Professional, Smartphone and standard devices, you will need a minimum of 12MB memory on your device or 6MB on a card. A WiFi connection is recommended for best quality.

Dell has unveiled their Studio Special Edition Laptop with a 15.4-inch high definition widescreen, Intel Core Duo processor, Windows Vista, multi-media keys, and an optional backlit keyboard. Bluetooth and WiFi capable, it also features a handy fingerprint reader, their Blu-ray Disc player, surround sound and both HDMI and Ethernet connections. The SSE laptop has a $799.00 price after an $80.00 instant savings.

Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook

Now we may know why Dell recently reduced the price of their Inspiron Mini 9s. They might have been planning ahead for their new Mini 10 that came out today. Features include 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, an Intel Atom Processor Z520, a “roomy” keyboard, multi-touch gesture touchpad, a 10.1-inch WSVGA 16:9 widescreen display, webcam, internal WiFi, and will run Windows XP. The Mini 9 is aimed at “kids, tweens, teens, travelers and tweeters” or those with $399.00.

LG Arena KM900 Smartphone

LG has announced that it will unveil its Arena KM900 smartphone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that begins Feb. 11. The phone has a 3-inch WVGA touchscreen with 800x400 resolution and a 5 megapixel camera. The KM900 also has WiFi, A-GPS, and HSDPA 7.2 network support. What is most unique is its 3D touchscreen user interface with four customizable screens. No price or availability date has yet to be announced.

If you are thinking bare necessity, Taiwan’s MSI has officially announced their WindBOX. The minimal desktop attaches to your monitor’s VESA mount. Features include an Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1 GB of RAM and a SATA II interface. It also has Ethernet and WiFi compatibility, a 3-in-1 card reader, a VGA out and 3 USB ports. Rumor has it that it will be out this quarter with a price of ~ $250.00.

Archos 10 Netbook

Archos is apparently getting ready to release their own netbook. The Archos 10 looks fairly lackluster and features a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of DDR 2 of memory and a 160GB hard drive. The display is 10.2-inches with a 1024x600 resolution and the mini-PC has 802.11 b/g WiFi, a webcam, one Ethernet and 3 USB ports. Available in both black and white, no date or price has been formally released for the netbook.

Originatic unveiled their Smart-Leaf line at the CES, a rather clever PC that has both wall and desk mode. The Oasis has a standard keyboard with touchpad intended for personal or business usage, while the Mountain has a stainless steel keyboard and trackball, perfect for kiosk usage. Both have WiFi and a 3mp webcam with angle adjustment, card reader, audio out and 6, count ‘em, 6 USB ports. They have spill-proof LCDs, keyboard lock, are scratch resistant and have the option of a touchscreen. With various amounts of memory and hard drive available, the Oasis’ price starts at $1,899.00 while the Mountain can be yours at a minimum of $2,699.00.
