Elecom Egg Mouse

In honor of its 20th birthday, Elecom has created a new USB Egg Mouse. At a size of 65 x 86.5 x 46 mm and a weight of 80g, the 3-button optical gadget now comes in blue, grey, orange, pink, white, and black. Ergonomically designed, the company ‘s translation says that the mouse fits nicely in your palm “which it is easy to operate even in the woman.” With a resolution of 1000dpi, look for an arrival in mid-May for ¥2940 (~$29.00.)

ReUSaBle Batteries

We want some! We still adore our eneloop batteries that we haven’t had to charge in months, even though we use them almost daily, but we really admire the ingenuity of the ReUSaBle Batteries. When their juice starts to drain, simply plug them into any USB port or 250mA Ni-MH charger. An LED will let you know the status of the charge. A pair of the 2 x AA size batteries (1.2V at 1450mAh) will cost you $19.15, well worth the amount considering that they will eventually save you money and the planet.

Review: USB Exercising Mouse

This little guy has been out for a while now, but when our English buds from Crazy About Gadgets sent us a USB Exercising Mouse, we just had to put him through his paces (pun intended.) While waiting for the software to upload, we noticed that Microsoft warned us that it had not undergone safety testing by them. (Thanks for looking out for us, but we’ll take the risk.) Cut Flash Drive It’s always fun to freak out your co-workers and this ought to do the trick. What looks like a cut cord is in fact a USB flash drive. A KingMax 1GB drive, USB cable, electrical tape, and gel-style 5 minute epoxy was used to create the device. DIY step-by-step instructions are available if you would like to create your own. As with all projects like this, you have to really be inspired, for if you buy the products to make it, you could actually end up with a cut cord and glue encrusted flash drive.
