At a size of 3.19 x 1.34 x 3.35-inches and a weight of 6.98 oz., the creature comes with what the site describes as a “cute dog doll outfit.” Uh huh. No doubt Paris Hilton might find this amusing, but for $18.67, we think we will pass until they come up with one that works without the fru-fru.

This is not your ordinary webcam. The ANEO ANWC0804 comes with three interactive games: Kungfu, Super Knight, and Funny Stair. We already know that plants thrive when you talk to them, but what if your plant decided to chat with you? The prototype Pet Plant by Junyi Heo keeps track of its soil temperature, humidity, and water condition, and lets its owner know what it needs by means of LCD display pictograms. Supposedly, it will also drain itself if over-watered. The Pet Plant’s USB interface charges and transmits the info from computer software. Perhaps the next gen of the gadget will scream out “Feed me, Seymore!”

HP Mini-Note 2133 first impressions

I just got my hands on one of the HP Mini-Note 2133 ultra-portable notebook (netbook?) computers. A few first impressions are below, a taste of our upcoming HP 2133 vs. Eee PC 900 Battle Royale:
HP Mini-Note 2133 wins:
- 2133 has a much nicer keyboard
- 2133 has a cleaner design
- 2133 has a faster processor (1.6Ghz vs. 900Mhz)
- 2133 has more RAM (2GB vs. 1GB)
Eee PC 900 wins:
- Eee PC is cheaper ($550 vs. $729-819)
- Eee PC is slimmer and lighter (2133 battery protrudes downward)
- Eee PC has more USB 2.0 ports (3 vs. 2)
- Eee PC is easier to dual boot with Ubuntu
Obviously the HP 2133 has a lot going for it, however it’s significantly more expensive. Stay tuned for more in-depth information about these trendy new netbooks and how they compare for power, usability, and value.
