If you placed an early pre-order for the iPad mini Wi-Fi + Cellular, be on the lookout for FedEx, because deliveries are starting today. Even if your tracking information shows that tomorrow will be your delivery date, many are getting their Apple tablets a day early. Amazon's looking to disrupt the tablet landscape with the Fire, and is pricing the Fire aggressively at $129 during this sale.

You can pick up a Kindle Fire now for $129 on Amazon. If you miss the sale, it's still a good deal at its regular $159 price.

Among the smaller tablets of the world like the iPad mini, Kindle Fire HD, and Nexus 7, Microsoft's platform is nowhere to be found. Sure, the company just launched Surface a couple of weeks ago, it's first first-party tablet device, and it has the Surface Pro on the way too…but what about the smaller form factor? Well, it turns out that Microsoft is working on it's very own 7-inch tablet, the previously-uncovered Xbox Surface.

Google Nexus 10: 2560 x 1600 resolution, $399 on November 13th

Despite the cancellation of the Google event due to the onslaught of the east coast by Hurricane Sandy, the company went ahead and showed off its marketing materials for the new Nexus 10 tablet. It comes in two flavors: a 16GB model for $399, and a 32GB model for $499, both being Wi-Fi models, with neither offering a cellular option. The highlight of the Nexus 10 is the display, which is an impressive 2560 x 1600 resolution, which is higher than the iPad's Retina display. Google's latest flagship tablet will be available on November 13th from the Google Play store in the UK, US, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Japan and Canada.
