Richie Sambora Pulled Over for Drinking

Richie Sambora, mugshotUPDATE:  The story just became much sadder.  It turns out Richie wasn’t alone when he was pulled over.  His current girlfriend, daughter and another young girl were inside the car at the time.

Poor Ava Sambora.  In the past month, the young girl has seen both of her parents thrust into the media spotlight…and for less than happy reasons.

Back on March 8, the 10-year-old’s mother () had paramedics make a surprise visit to her home.  Someone from outside her residence called 911 believing the actress was suicidal.  (She claims she wasn’t.)  Now - just more than two weeks later - Ava’s dad is having is own turn with the authorities.

TMZ reports that rocker Richie Sambora was pulled over late last night when he was spotted driving erratically.  After the Laguna Beach officers stopped him, the musician failed several field sobriety tests and was promptly detained.  Sambora has since been released from custody.

When Apple products don’t “just work”

Bad Apple Products loves to tout that PC users should switch to Macs because they “just work”. Now, we’ve enjoyed what has been a mostly blissful love affair with Apple products over the past few years, save for a few problems here and there. When an issue has come up, we’ve found that Apple was quick to the rescue (in some cases, we needed to make sure we were actually at a Genius Bar that was competent) and fixed our issues. Sure, the has had a few annoyances here and there, but overall, we’ve been pleased.

However, our pal Xavier over at Notebooks.com has recently experienced what has to be one of the oddest bouts of bad luck with Apple products I’ve ever seen. From two dead iMacs, to a completely dead MacBook Pro battery, to multiple iPhones malfunctioning. To top all that off, he is even experiencing the delay of a third-party Apple accessory he is waiting on, because the manufacturer is saying Apple is taking their time on certifying the product.

It happens to all companies out there friends. Even the “almighty” Apple isn’t immune. Hit the Read More link below for the full scoop.

In the Mold: What Does it Take to Win American Idol?

Season Seven Top 12

Kelly Clarkson. Fantasia Barrino. Taylor Hicks. Carrie Underwood. Ruben Studdard. Jordin Sparks. Put them together and it’s hard to find one common element - other than the fact that they can all sing. But here’s the thing - many of the contestants on can carry a tune. Winning the show takes a whole lot more than sensational singing. What does it take to win American Idol?

The hot button issue for this year’s crew of competitors is sexual orientation. The Internet community is alive with comments, videos, and hooplah regarding the sexual preference (real or imagined) of Season Seven’s best and brightest singing talents. As far as fans know, a homosexual has never won American Idol. Some say that one will never win on the show.

This Week on TV (3/24-3/30)

The Hills

(You can view TV Envy’s Post-Strike Television Schedule here.)

MONDAY (3/24)
  • How I Met Your Mother (CBS, 8:30):  The overly-promoted Britney Spears cameo finally airs tonight.  Let’s just be happy the show is only 30-minutes long.
  • Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious (CW, 9pm):  Nicole Scherzinger gives the girls tips on vocal expression.  Sadly, advice on releasing solo albums is not something she can dish out.
  • CSI: Miami (CBS, 10pm):  New episode.  “A bride is murdered at her wedding.  The investigation takes the CSIs to a strip club where the bachelor party took place.”  Strip club? This would be the perfect time for another Elizabeth Berkley appearance.
  • The Hills (MTV, 10pm):  Season premiere.  I wonder if LC wore any of her own designs in Paris.  Doubt it.

Does Lindsay Lohan Have a Sex Tape?

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Movies, Videos, Oops Videos,

Lindsay Lohan, Calum best(UPDATE: Calum’s rep denied the sex tape rumors to Us Magazine.  “Sorry to disappoint you, but it’s not Calum in the tape.”  But is it Lindsay??)

It looks like DUIs have become so 5 minutes ago.  Sex tapes are now the latest trend in Hollywood.

Just a few days ago, rumors of a possible Kristin Davis sex tape ran wild across the internet.  Now a video involving our favorite girl, , may be coming to light.

According to The Sun, there is a supposedly a clip being spread online of Lindsay during her time with British TV personality Calum Best.  (The two dated last year before her stint in rehab.)  Supposedly the clip of Lohan ‘performing an act’ was taken with Calum’s cell phone.  A snippet of that video was shared with friends; a possible extended version may be leaked later.

Needless to say, Linds is reportedly freaked out by the matter.  She apparently didn’t know that she was being filmed.  (Maybe that’s why she went into rehab?)  Just last year, she was telling People that her new boyfriend was “a nice guy.”  Methinks she’ll be retracting that statement soon.

Survivor Micronesia: Like a Wide-Eyed Kid in the Candy Store!

Survivor Micronesia

On tonight’s episode of , the castaways were really starting to feel the effects of their long stay on the island.  After over two weeks in the game, the survivors were starting to grate on each other’s nerves.  The miserable weather was also taking a toll on their psyches.  Who was able to power through – and who just had to throw up their arms and quit?

Frustrated by the lack of eggs they were receiving, a hungry Tracy suggested killing off one of Malakal’s three resident chickens.  If they weren’t going to put out, she was going to cut them up.  Ozzy, knowing that he could always fish for more food, thought that this was a ridiculous idea.  The birds were still producing, just not as many as she would like.  Why would she get rid of a renewable source?  Ozzy’s bossiness, of course, frustrated underdog Tracy because he was acting like a “kingpin”.  Not only was he the retriever of the food, he was also the decision-maker on when they would eat it as well.

Wire to Wire - 03.19.08

Charlie VillanuevaWire to Wire aims to be your waiver wire resource for all of your fantasy basketball needs. It will dive into playing time trends, injury replacements, and even an occasional category specialist—all of which can be found on a typical waiver wire within your fantasy league at any given time

With the fantasy playoffs soon approaching, it’s getting to the point where games-remaining is a big determinant in whom you’ll be adding-dropping over the next week.  Leagues that lock rosters after a certain point will definitely want to pay attention to this.  Those that allow streaming – while I don’t condone – will want to pay close attention to this as well.  With that said, here are the players that should be on your current radars, given league settings.
