Bleeding Edge TV 508: LEGO Fairground Mixer 10244 first look
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Design, Features, Podcasts, Toys, Videocasts, Videos,
In this episode I bring you a first-look at the new LEGO Fairground Mixer set. Part of the LEGO Creator series, the Fairground Mixer 10244 includes the Mixer ride, ticket booth, working dunk tank, test of strength area, 12 minifigures (including new throwing up minifig!), and two trucks that carry everything around. A hand crank makes the Mixer turn, or you can attach an automatic motor. This set was revealed at the Sydney Brickshow, and includes 1,746 individual pieces, so it'll take you a little while to get it all put together (it's rated at expert level, after all!) When all is said and done, though, you'll be left with a great-looking, usable carnival scene with working attractions. We give you a look at how it all works in this episode.

HTC One (M8) review: The best Android phone gets even better
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Smartphones, Features, Handhelds, Product Reviews,
Last year, HTC impressed us with the release of the original HTC One, a phone that featured what we believed to be the best build quality of any Android smartphone. This year, the HTC One (M8) takes its place as the flagship handset from HTC.
On the surface, the HTC One (M8) improves upon the original in a multitude of ways. Faster internals. Dual-lens UltraPixel camera. Larger display. Improved industrial design. The question is, though, does the final product add up to being another that can stand above the crowded Android line-up? We've put the device through its paces, and we are here to answer all of those questions here in our full HTC One (M8) review.

Bleeding Edge TV 507: HTC One (M8) vs. HTC One (M7)
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Cell Phones, Features, Handhelds, Podcasts, Product Reviews, Videocasts, Videos,
In this episode I give you a comparison review of the HTC One (M8) vs. the original HTC One. Last year, I named the HTC One as my favorite Android smartphone, and this year the HTC One M8 has a great chance at claiming the title again. We've received a bunch of questions from readers asking about the differences between the two devices, and if it is worth upgrading from the 2013 model to the new HTC One M8.
I go through each major change and upgrade (and, in one case, a downgrade) to give you a thorough look at what's new and what's changed!

Apple Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet adapter video review
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Accessories, Apple, Features, Podcasts, Product Reviews, Videocasts, Videos,
In this episode I give you a look at the Apple Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter.
As Apple has started making its MacBook Air and MacBook Pro lines thinner, there's no longer room in the bezel for an Ethernet port. The solution? The Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet adapter. This allows you to take advantage of the much smaller Thunderbolt port, and use it to connect directly to a wired Ethernet network. I show you how it works.
You can pick up the Apple Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet adapter now.

Bleeding Edge TV 502: WWE Network on Apple TV review
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Features, Home Entertainment, PC / Laptop, Podcasts, Videocasts, Videos,
Since a lot of people were curious about if the WWE Network would be available on Apple TV, and how it would look compared to the other platforms out there, I went ahead and put together this video walkthrough and review. There are a bunch of pros to using an Apple TV for the Network, but one caveat that can be seen as a con.
In this video I cover:
- How to subscribe to the WWE Network on Apple TV and skip the signup issues plaguing other devices
- How to link your Apple TV purchase to your WWE.com account so you can access the Network everywhere
- How to link your Apple TV purchase to other Apple TVs
- How to use AirPlay to send WWE Network content from your iOS device to an Apple TV wirelessly
I also give an interface tour and my overall thoughts on how the WWE Network looks and feels on Apple's set-top box. I'll be doing more videos focusing on other devices as well, so if there's one you'd like me to focus on, feel free to contact me on Facebook or Twitter and let me know. Keep an eye on our YouTube channel (you can subscribe here!) to see the new stuff as it drops.
If you like what you see from the Apple TV, you can pick one up here from Apple.

Fujitsu ScanSnap ix500 review
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Accessories, PC / Laptop, Peripherals, Product Reviews,
Let's face it. Scanners aren't sexy, and are more often than not, an annoyance. Ease of use is typically out the window, paper jams are common, and software compatibility is always a mystery. Fujitsu has been on a mission to change that, and the ScanSnap ix500 is the latest entry in its desktop sheetfeed scanner series. New to the line is remote control support for iOS and Android, USB 3.0, Wi-Fi, and 25 page-per-minute color scanning. If you're looking to go paperless, or simply want to keep digital versions of your hard copies, and want to know if the ScanSnap ix500 is worth your money, we're here to answer that in our full Fujitsu ScanSnap ix500 review.

Apple Mac Pro (2013) review: in a class of its own
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Features, PC / Laptop, Product Reviews,
Power. The Apple Mac Pro (late 2013) is the newest Mac on the block, and it's also the most powerful computer ever made by Apple. It deserves to be, too, as the Mac Pro lost that title as Apple let that product line slip into virtual irrelevancy. After all, the previous Mac Pro spent the last four-or-so years at a technical standstill. It didn't have any Thunderbolt ports, no USB 3.0, no PCIe flash storage...heck, it didn't even have an 802.11n Wi-Fi option. For all intents and purposes, Apple had allowed the Mac Pro, the one machine that was aimed at meeting the needs of the most demanding customers, to become a dinosaur.
That is, until the release of the newly-redesigned Mac Pro (late 2013) model. With its smooth metallic cylindrical shape that looks like it was plucked off of an alien spaceship, smaller and lighter profile, and top-of-the-line specs that include PCIe SSD storage, dual workstation-class GPUs as standard, the newest Intel Xeon processors (up to 12 cores!), 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and a bunch of I/O ports which include Thunderbolt 2 and USB 3.0, this thing is a beast. It's modern--no, futuristic.
For all of you professional video editors, photographers, graphic artists, 3D animators, audio engineers and the like, we're betting that Apple has piqued your interest. After all, this is a Mac which can drive up to three 4K displays simultaneously. That's a lot of power. Wondering if it should be your next purchase? It's expensive, starting at $2,999 (and climbing up to $9,559 depending on how you configure it,) so we're here to help you in your decision making. Follow along as we bring you our full Mac Pro (late 2013) review, after the jump.
