The new iPod touch features the Apple A8 processor, which is the same 64-bit chip found in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, while maintaining the 4-inch Retina display. This brings the iPod touch out of the virtual stone age that it was in, making it a modern iOS device with 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 (a first for any Apple device), and 1GB RAM.
