Hitachi Bot Sports Sensory Laser

hitachi emiewIt just keeps getting scarier. Hitachi’s EMIEW (Excellent Mobility and Interactive Existence as Workmate) is now equipped with a sensory laser for navigation. The new bot will make its debut at the 2006 WAC (World Automotive Congress) in Japan which begins October 23.

The EMIEW keeps its balance using internal gyroscopes. It can locate its owner by voice recognition and can perform basic household chores, such as retrieving items from other rooms. Let’s just hope that it doesn’t aim that laser on the cat.

Laser SlingshotAs excessive as you need it to be: The laser sighted sling shot by Precision Shots. The laser slingshot supposedly improves aim and accuracy while increasing the power at which your projectile is flung at your victim

target. With a $49.99 price tag ($69.99 for the big version) you have to be pretty serious about your Dennis the Menace antics to fork out for this bad boy. I guess this proves the theory that any gadget or gizmo can be improved with the addition of lasers these days.
