Dell Streak 7 and 10-inch tablets leaked!

Dell Streak 7 10

Dell looks to be jumping into the tablet game headfirst with their Streak tablets that have just been revealed. They look similar to the Dell Mini 5, but bigger and more in line with what Apple is offering with the , and this is a good thing. As you can see, you get the black bezel, the large display, and the photo app even looks similar to what you’d find on the iPad. Engadget says that the Streak 5 should hit stores this summer, while the Streak 7 should be available later this year (likely the fall, if you ask us.) The Dell Streak 10 won’t likely appear until 2011 though. Sure, that sucks for those that want the largest Android tablet that Dell has to offer, but having a 7-inch model out there gives a nice alternative for those that want something smaller than a 9.7-inch iPad. These Android tablets can’t come fast enough.

iPhone OS 4.0 already jailbroken

iPhone OS 4.0 jailbreak

Looks like the jailbreak app developer community can get to work on porting their apps to , as the current beta has already been jailbroken. However, if you aren’t a developer, don’t go trying to mess around with the redsn0w 0.9.5 beta, as this is purely a dev release. It currently only works on Mac OS X and with an iPhone 3G running iPhone 4.0 beta 1, but that’s good enough to get the devs started on getting everything up to snuff for the official release this summer.

Gaming gear I wish I had on this 12-hour flight

As I write this, I am squeezed into a coach seat on a 12 hour flight from an undisclosed location in the middle east to New York City. Once I get done with this, I have another 6-hour jaunt to Los Angeles, and the memory of my last 2-hour flight here fades with every drop of overpriced airline beer. In these trying times, a man needs to keep entertained. My DS is charged, but alas, I have completed Castlevania already.

There are three - no, four crying infants on board. The man to my left has clearly not showered since the Reagan administration. If I don’t survive, let me leave you with these thoughts of what could have been, if only I had taken this frightening possibility into deeper consideration.

Hit the jump for my last coherent thoughts before the chilling onset of complete madness.

iPad review: An in-depth look at the Apple tablet

iPad review

When finally revealed the to the world back at their January 27th event, it was a long time coming for many an Apple fan. After almost three years with the iPhone around, everyone figured it was time for Apple to unleash a full-sized, proper tablet. However, time and time again the rumor mill was incorrect, as Apple Event after Apple Event came and went with nary a mention of a tablet device. So when the announcement finally came, and when pre-orders finally were being taken, many prepped to grab the iPad on day one. That day came on April 3 with the launch of the Wi-Fi iPad in the United States, which you can now purchase at the Apple Online Store.

The hype has been off the charts, so let’s step back for a minute and examine this thing. The iPad sits somewhere between the iPhone juggernaut and the ridiculously popular MacBook. Many have said that it is simply a “big iPod touch” and nothing more. Apple has called it “magical and revolutionary.” Who’s right?

We bring you the answers in our review, so hit that read link and follow along as we delve into the iPad.

HP Slate gunning for iPad with cameras, USB, SD slot, and iTunes

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Handhelds, PC / Laptop, Videos,

Take a look at the latest marketing video for the , the tablet computer that should be launching fairly soon from HP. As you can see in the video, it appears that HP has built a program that runs in Windows 7 to give a custom tablet appearance, but when all is said and done, this is really just a touchscreen tablet running a full version of Windows 7, not a mobile operating system. Some will, of course, see that as a plus.
