Does Miley Cyrus Know Who She Is?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Gossip, Pop,
Pay attention, kids. This is what living inside the Disney bubble might do to you. Miley Cyrus is so out-of-touch with her own music and her own image, she doesn’t even think she’s a pop singer.
Uhhh…what? Watch the interview above, where Miley Cyrus admits she’s “never heard a Jay-Z” song, despite the lyrics of her popular joint “Party in the U.S.A.” The Disney darling goes on to say she’s not a pop singer - it’s “not even my style.” Somebody, let this child get in touch with reality.

First Look: Prince of Persia Trailer
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Disney, Action, Adaptation, Adventure, Trailers, Upcoming Releases,
When a movie combines The Mummy, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, it’s bound to be a hit. And in this case, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time also has a beefed up Jake Gyllenhaal and a Bond girl (Gemma Arteron) to boot.
So will this trailer get you in the doors? Doesn’t matter—I’m sure Disney’s already got a new theme park ride in the works.
Prince of Persia opens on May 28.

Speidi Dresses as Jon and Kate for Halloween
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Television, Photos,
Love ‘em or hate ‘em, you’ve got to give it to them—Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag will most likely have one of the best Halloween costumes this year, dressing up as Jon and Kate Gosselin.
Complete with a handful of baby dolls, Spencer and Heidi are perfect as the troubled couple. It really shouldn’t come as any surprise, though—with all of the media attention the TLC reality stars get, Speidi was quick to soak it all up as they donned the costumes.
Check back soon, as I’m sure more interesting celebrity costumes will appear—rumor has it that Project Runway graduate Christian Siriano is going to be a Disney princess!

Disney Magazine Bans Noah Cyrus Halloween Photo
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: D-List, Child Stars, Clothing, Style, Photos, Paparazzi Photos,
Taking some tips from her big sister, Miley Cyrus, Noah Cyrus stirred up controversy over her Halloween costume, prompting Disney Girl to prohibit the photos’ publication.
Attending Jamie Lee Curtis’s Dream Halloween this past weekend, 9 year-old Cyrus showed up in a tight-fitting mini dress with knee-high leather boots. To top that off, dark eye makeup and red lipstick were applied to her small face.
Disney Girl‘s editor, Fiona Wright, spoke about her decision to not print the photos:

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Diamond Edition Blu-ray review
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Disney, Animation, Classics, Family, DVD Reviews,
Not many people realize this, but Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is Disney‘s very first full-length animated motion picture. Some would say it is the most prized possession inside the Disney Vault, since one could argue that this movie not only pushed the still-young Disney studio well on its way to being the global powerhouse that it is today, but it also expanded and legitimized the art of animation. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is the first movie to be released as part of the Disney Platinum Series, which has been around for a while now. However, when it came time to get the Blu-ray treatment, Sleeping Beauty and Pinocchio were both released before Snow White, as Disney wanted to get this one just right. The result? The Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Diamond Edition Blu-ray set.
Is it worthy of the title? Journey with us as we dig deep into the Snow White Diamond Edition and find out.

Selena Gomez to Launch Organic Clothing Line
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Fashion Designers, News,
Watch out, Miley Cyrus—Selena Gomez is launching her own organic fashion range.
The 17-year-old actress, who has appeared in numerous family movies and TV shows since she was discovered by Disney in 2004, is designing a range of “inspirational” and “eco-friendly” clothes for young girls.
“With my line, I really want to give the customer options on how they can put their own looks together. I want the pieces that can be easy to dress up or down, and the fabrics being eco-friendly and organic are super important. Also, the tags will all have some of my inspirational quotes on them. I’m just looking to send a good message.”
The Wizards of Waverly Place starlet will be working alongside Generra designer Tom Melillo and Sandra Campos to perfect her collection.
Weekend Reading: Iron Man, Geek Chic, Chip and Dale and I Love Lucey
Posted by Tom Mason Categories: Editorials, DC Comics, Marvel Comics,
Lots of good stuff going on as we slide into the weekend. We’ve got Iron Man, Archie Comics, Douglas Adams’ Monty Python connection, Chip and Dale and tons more.
Let’s start with my pal Bob Greenberger, the noted comic book writer, novelist, tie-in writer, and a guy who actually knows how to make a physical comic book/graphic novel (all that production/printing/binding/press run/distribution stuff). He has a new book out. Iron Man: Femme Fatales has just been published by Del Rey and it should keep fans happy post-Iron Man I movie and pre-Iron Man II movie. Bob happily blogs about it at his website where he reposts this nice review. I haven’t read the book yet, but I snapped up a copy off the rack at Wal-Mart to feed a little royalty money Bob’s way. I also reshelved the remaining copies to give Bob a better display. That’s how I roll, people.
Harry Lucey: The animator John Kricfalusi has a nice gallery of great Lucey covers from assorted Archie titles at his blog. The covers are absolutely stunning in their simplicity. There’s a “Get Off My Lawn!” part of my brain that wishes the books still looked like this.
Geek Chic Daily: Nikki Finke has a few details about the Hollywood playas lining up behind Gareb Shamus’ new online presence.
George Tuska: Marvel and DC artist George Tuska, so prominent in the comics of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s has passed away at 93. Mark Evanier has a nice look at Tuska’s career. Here’s a real nice original art page by Tuska—no superheroes, just guns, gangsters, street scenes and a hot girl in a bikini. He was from the generation of comic artists who all knew how to draw people, horses, cars, the folds of clothing, and characters in hats who could still make a guy in an iron suit seem believable.

Toy Story Gets Extended 3D Run
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Disney, Animation, Family, Sequels, Box Office, Upcoming Releases, Videos,
If your film is still charting in fifth place, why pull the plug now?
Although it was originally slated for a two-week stint, the Toy Story/Toy Story 2 double feature has been given a longer stay. The popular 3D reissuing will now have an indefinite run. (It will most likely be pulled before A Christmas Carol opens on November 6.)
Since being re-released on October 2, the Pixar classics have combined forces for approximately $22.8 million in ticket sales.
Those still unable to relive the experience before it leaves theaters can get their sneak peek of Toy Story 3 above.
