The HP Vivienne Tam edition digital clutch netbook, designed for fashion-concious women on the go, is definitely an eye-catching piece of tech. However, the HP Mini 1000 netbook is pretty much the exact same computer, minus the fancy peony flowers and striking red finish. We give you a look at both netbooks in this episode, showing you all the key differences, so you can decide on which you want to pick up. A few days ago, at the Apple notebook event, the company unveiled their newly redesigned MacBook (gallery) and MacBook Pro (gallery) portables. We were able to get our hands on the new MacBook and MacBook Pro, and in this video, we compare each to their last generation counterpart. That’s right, we put the white MacBook up against the newer aluminum MacBook, compare the older MacBook Pro to the new one, and to top it all off, we bring in a MacBook Air for comparisons sake as well. Exclusive: MacBook Air vs. Voodoo Envy 133 - Clash of World’s Thinnest Notebooks

Earlier this morning we put up our Voodoo Envy 133 gallery, and once we glanced at our MacBook Air, we knew it was so on. It was time to put them head-to-head, in an epic battle of the world’s thinnest notebook computers. So, we put together another gallery, where the MacBook Air and Voodoo Envy 133 sit side-by-side. We take pit them together from a few different angles. Now, the Envy 133 does take the victory for being the thinnest notebook computer - but the thin side of the MacBook Air is technically thinner than the uniform thickness of the Envy. Really, it all comes down to what OS you want to run, and if you don’t care, then it comes down to form factor. Oh, and of course, the Envy 133 has way more ports (including HDMI) than the MacBook Air can even dream of having at this point.

iPhone 3G and iPhone OldSchool side-by-side

If you are tired of all the mockups that try to show the size differences between the iPhone 3G and the original iPhone, we’ve finally got an image of the two phones, side-by-side. The main difference here is that you have a uniform color on the back of the phone, rather than the odd black bottom that we never really enjoyed on the original. Here’s what iLounge had to say:
The 0.48” depth is thicker than the touch (0.31?), 80GB classic (0.41?), and original iPhone (0.46?) but thinner than the 160GB classic (0.53?), and tapered at the sides for the appearance of thinness. At 4.7 ounces, it weighs more than iPod touch (4.2), but less than the iPod classic (4.9-5.7 oz.).
Anyhoo, expect a lot more of these come July 11th.

We figured we’d put two of our favorite netbooks together for a quick head-to-head, just to show the size differences between the HP Mini-Note and the Asus Eee PC. We’ve put together a small gallery comparing the sizes of the two systems, including what we believe to be the most important difference, the keyboard size.
