Dell Studio 15 Special Edition Laptop

Dell has unveiled their Studio Special Edition Laptop with a 15.4-inch high definition widescreen, Intel Core Duo processor, Windows Vista, multi-media keys, and an optional backlit keyboard. Bluetooth and WiFi capable, it also features a handy fingerprint reader, their Blu-ray Disc player, surround sound and both HDMI and Ethernet connections. The SSE laptop has a $799.00 price after an $80.00 instant savings.

Star Trek Finally Coming to Blu-ray

To promote the upcoming premiere of Star Trek, Paramount Home Entertainment will catch up with the technological times.

Beginning April 28, a series of Trek-related offerings will be finally be rolled out on Blu-ray. Star Trek: The Original Series—Season One is first on that list. In addition to the 29 episodes, the seven-disc set will allow viewers to choose between the original television or remastered versions.

On May 12 (a few days after the film’s premiere), the studio will issue two Blu-ray boxed sets: Star Trek Original Motion Picture Collection and Star Trek Motion Picture Trilogy. The “collection” will include the six films - from 1979’s Star Trek: The Motion Picture to 1991’s Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country - featuring the show’s original cast. Meanwhile, the “trilogy” will only include The Wrath of Khan, The Search for Spock and The Voyage Home.

The 2009 version of Star Trek premieres on May 8.

In our quest to build the ultimate inexpensive hoome theater computer, we’ve walked you through selecting all the major components that will power our labor of love PC. I’m talking about things like why we picked our chosen motherboard, the MSI MS-7411, a look at how we will drive 7.1 sound from the HTPC to our receiver, and the smart way that we will move content to the HTPC so it’s displayed on our television.
