Beyonce Wants Posh Designs

An R&B artist desires some girl power: Beyonce wants Victoria Beckham to design her tour outfits.
The sexy singer is a huge admirer of the former Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer’s collections and is keen for her to create some stunning outfits for her next series of concerts.
“Beyonce is a big fan of Victoria’s work, and was given a couple of samples from the new collection. Victoria was hugely flattered and has agreed, in principle, to suggest some designs. While Beyonce already has the sunglasses and a few dresses, it is Victoria’s more elegant full-length designs that she particularly loves as they are a real departure from her usual glitzy stage costumes. This collaboration could be the start of something big.”
Victoria’s designs have become a huge hit with celebrities with Demi Moore, Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz and Heidi Klum all donning some of her creations. Demi wore a strapless, floor-length royal blue dress from Victoria’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection at the pre-Oscars Hollywood Domino party and couldn’t help but gush about Victoria’s handiwork: “I always feel so comfortable and Victoria’s designs fit so well. They’re just stylish through and through.”

During Jay-Z‘s act, he brought a surprise guest on stage—a woman so “super duper special,” he didn’t even have to address her by name.

Beyonce Knowles is Selling the Heat

Beyonce Knowles has already sold $3 million worth of her fragrance in the US in just one month.
During one in-store appearance in New York, 72,000 bottles of the singer’s scent - released in February - were purchased. That made Heat, an exclusive to Macy’s, the department store’s number one brand.
Beyonce previously stated that the scent - a mix of magnolia, neroli and blush peach scents - and has received a lot of positive reaction.
“I’m so happy with it. I’ve been working on it for a while now. I was on tour for a year, and I have meet-and-greets with fans. I’ve never in my life gotten so many compliments,” she said. “They makers have tests, but that was my testing! The fans loved it. They were like, ‘I love that, I’m getting that, why isn’t it out right now? I need it!’”

Viktor and Rolf Designed Gaga Prison Wear

Fashionable pop singer Lady Gaga asked to look like a prisoner in her latest music video.
The eccentric singer teamed up with designers Viktor and Rolf for “Telephone” - her duet with Beyonce Knowles - as she wanted them to create her a bespoke costume, which was inspired by spending time behind bars. As a result, in some scenes in the video Gaga wears a dark grey leopard jersey jumpsuit with a studded bodice decorated with metal chains.
“Lady Gaga asked us to design a prisoner’s outfit. This is how we imagined Gaga if she was incarcerated. She inspired us and her bodysuit was included in our brand new ‘glamour factory’ collection. It is styled with a huge pile of exaggerated metal chain necklaces.”
As well as her Viktor and Rolf prison outfit, Gaga and Beyonce also wear designs by outlandish designer Jean Charles de Castelbajac - with Beyonce choosing a blue jacket from the Spring/Summer 2010 collection and Gaga sporting a bespoke dress.

Lady Gaga has been teasing fans with photos and video clips from the set of the Telephone music video, building anticipation to the eventual release of the almost 10-minute final copy. You can finally get a look at the collaboration between Lady Gaga and Beyonce. The video continues right where the Paparazzi music video left off, it seems. Even odder, at the end, we get a “to be continued.” Any guesses on which track will be used for the follow-up video?

Laverne & Shirley: File this in the “Was He Kidding?” file. During a recent red carpet event for Valentine’s Day, director Garry Marshall said he may bring Laverne & Shirley to the big screen—with Jessica Biel and Jennifer Garner in the lead roles. “We’re gonna work on that,” the original show’s co-creator stated. “My sister Penny and Cindy are gonna have a guest cameo. They’re gonna walk “schlemiel, schlemazel”—or they’re gonna get tired in the middle and sit down.”

Hope for Haiti Telethon Success

Madonna, Beyonce Knowles and Tom Cruise joined George Clooney in yesterday’s telethon to raise funds for victims of the Haiti earthquake.
The telethon - broadcast from Los Angeles, New York and London - saw more than 140 stars come together to perform and raise funds to aid relief in the Caribbean state, which has been struck by two huge earthquakes in the last two weeks, leaving hundreds of thousands dead.
“This is a tragedy that reaches across all borders, all boundaries. It demands our attention, our help and our compassion. The Haitian people need help. They need to know that they are not alone. They need to see that we still care,” George said.
While Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, Bono, Coldplay, Rihanna, Sting, Stevie Wonder and Sheryl Crow all performed, addresses were made from ex-US president Bill Clinton, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Nicole Kidman and Samuel L. Jackson. Manning the telephones were some of the biggest stars in Hollywood, including director Steven Spielberg and actors Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Julia Roberts, Mel Gibson, Reese Witherspoon and Penelope Cruz.
The two-hour broadcast collected money via the internet and text message as well as phone donations, and is expected to raise over $150 million.

Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z have topped a poll of Hollywood’s highest-earning couples compiled by Forbes.com, with combined earnings of $122 million between June 2008 and June 2009.
The singer and her hip-hop mogul husband amassed the massive sum through their music, movies, fragrances and endorsement deals with brands including Budweiser and American Express.
Their earnings were almost double that of runners-up Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart, whose $69 million was largely based on Harrison’s $65 million Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull paycheck. (That amount still put them $14 million above third-placed Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.)

Beyonce Knowles Changing Her Name

Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z are about to change their names. Jay-Z - whose real name is Shawn Carter - will now be known as Shawn Knowles-Carter, while Beyonce is to become Beyonce Knowles-Carter.
“They want to keep Knowles because Beyonce’s parents didn’t have any sons and they’re keen to keep the name going strong, especially if they don’t produce any children themselves,” a source told the Daily Star.
Earlier this week, the Knowles family suffered a blow when it was announced that Beyonce’s parents Tina and Mathew would be divorcing after 29 years of marriage. In October, rumors surfaced that Mathew may have been unfaithful. Alexandra Wright filed a paternity suit, though Matthew has denied being the father of her unborn child.
In a statement the estranged couple claimed their divorce would not be “an ugly, messy fight” and that they would continue working together amicably.
