Foretrex 201Garmin’s new Foretrex 401 GPS device is an improvement over its 201. About 20% smaller than the original, it has a display that is about the same size. Designed for the outdoorsy type, it is lightweight, waterproof, and features a 2-axis digital compass, barometric altimeter and USB connection for data sharing and updates. At a weight of only 3 oz., the 401 needs 2 AAA batteries for up to 24 hours of usage and should retail for about $250.000 this month.
