Sony Rolly Makes it Stateside

Sony has finally brought Rolly to the States. As you recall, the egg-shaped musical device grooves to the music, includes 2GB of flash memory, has Bluetooth and USB capability, and MP3 and ATRAC music support. Rolly comes preloaded with the theme from “2001 – A Space Odyssey”, Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend” and Earth, Wind, & Fire’s “Boogie Wonderland.” Available in black or white, that better be a some incredible choreography for the $399.99 price tag.

SanDisk has a new series of USB 2.0 flash memory drives for the mobile phone market. All of them have fast transfer rates and come with a MobileMate Micro Reader. The Mobile Ultra comes in several models, with the microSD 2GB at a price of $34.99, the microSDHC 4GB with a price of $59.99, (8GB for $119.99,) and Memory Stick Micro M2 2GB with an MSRP of $39.99, (4GB for $69.99 and 8GB for $129.99.) WD My DVR Expander External hard drive

Western Digital has unveiled its My DVR Expander USB Edition external hard drive. Compatible with DISH Network’s VIP Series HD DVRs, the 500GB drive increases storage up to 300 hours of SD or 60 hours of HD. It has a passive cooling system without fan, thereby making it a quieter device, and WD claims that it is uses a third less power than most external drives. You can have your own Expander for $149.99.

The N5 is an updated version of the R4DS. The second generation storage device supports both Nintendo DS and Lite, needs no booting tool, has a card slot for Micro SD, FAT16 or 32, works by touchscreen or button with auto-detect. It supports rumble pak, memory pak, Moonshell, and has an open I/O interface. Perhaps the best feature is that you can load your cheat codes, not that we agree with that. The 2 x 0.8 x 0.3-inch N5 comes with a TF card reader and application CD and is available for $69.99.
